Henry Utiker was frowning.
"What is it, Henry? You look like a sumo wrestler who's just been handed a size two loin cloth," Daisy Ann said.
"That sure is a pile of buggies full of bad food."
"Reminds me of the year I decided to use all the Buy-Right buggies for Santa's sleigh."
"I remember that! I thought Deke would blow a gasket."
"Gasket! More like the top of a volcanic mountain. His lava dome was more than ready to pop off.
Can't say that I blame him. After the parade fiasco the year before, Deke thought I was a walking catastrophe. So much for my whopping, stupendous ideas."
"I don't know which Christmas I liked better, Daisy Ann. Your parade or you as Santa?"
"Go ahead, kick me when I'm down, Henry! Oh well. My heart was in the right place. And in the end, Deke was a pretty good sport about everything."
