The stranger's fierce blue eyes were already staring at me, and I was struck by their intensity, leaving me momentarily breathless. It felt like he was looking straight into my soul, and I couldn't look away.

Time seemed to stand still, allowing me to drink in every detail of his presence as the world around me began to fade away, leaving only him and me.

His expression was difficult to decipher. It was as if he looked at me with a hunger. As if he sensed the same strange urge of desire I had for him. However, that seemed impossible. How could I long for someone I'd never laid eyes on before?

Yet, my heart quickened as an otherworldly sensation surged through me. It was almost primal. In the back of my mind, I remember the feeling when I locked eyes with Leif, but that sensation suddenly seemed like a mere spark. Now, my entire being, body and soul, was on fire.

It was as if, for the first time, I could truly see.

His black hair fell in untamed waves on his head. His defined jawline made him look like a living sculpture. He was like a god, towering over all the shifters around him with ease, including Leif. It's amazing that his horse was able to hold his weight cause I'm sure that he must have weighed a ton.

I needed to get closer. I needed to touch him.

Drawn to the stranger before me, I took a step forward, letting go of Cyrus beside me. The movement felt instinctive, beyond my control. It was as if a magnetic force pulled me towards him, too insistent to resist.

Suddenly, my hypnotic state was interrupted when the handsome stranger was nudged by a man on the other side of him, causing him to look away and break the spell that lingered between us.

I blinked in surprise, my body slowly returning to its senses. The strange sensation still pulsed through me. However, I was suddenly able to think more clearly.

A wave of bewilderment washed over me. What just happened? The sudden surge of emotion and attraction was beyond anything I had ever experienced, and I struggled to make sense of it.

I watched as the man who had nudged the stranger began to speak, gesturing toward something in the distance. From where I stood, I couldn't hear their words, but I altered my gaze toward the spot the man was pointing to.

Confused, I furrowed my brows as I noticed that the man was pointing to Leif, who had dismounted from his horse. He looked at me with an expression of astonishment, his mouth slightly agape. Beside him stood a man who was the spitting image of him. The only difference was that this man had his blonde hair cropped short, and that his expression was not one of surprise, but more of immense happiness.

Out of the blue, the two men sank to one knee and bowed their heads, like they were paying homage to me.

I scanned my surroundings, my mind racing with questions. They couldn't possibly bow to me.

The shifters around me seemed to notice their strange behaviour too, and dropped their stiff postures slightly, clearly taken aback. They started to look around too, trying to figure out what was happening.

The silence was suddenly shattered by a deafening roar. Instantly, every shifter, including Alpha Galdric, dropped into a submissive position, exposing their necks in a way I had now seen several times before. Some shifters even trembled on their legs due to the force of the sound.

Leif and the identical man next to him immediately straightened up and bowed their necks. Submitting to the handsome stranger who caused the powerful roar.

My gaze returned to him, seeing that he, too, had dismounted from his horse, revealing his towering height with more clarity. Who was he? The power he radiated hung heavy in the air. There was no doubt about it. Before us stood another Lycan.
