Flashback
June 14th, 2014
I sat down in the locker room and took out a small black box that had a ring inside and looked at it.
It was a diamond round cut white gold engagement ring and I was planning to propose to Erika with it.
We been together for four years and I want to make her my wife.
I put the ring back in my bag as one of my teammates walked inside after taking an shower.
"Hey man what are your plans tonight?" Devin asked.
"A date with my girlfriend tonight." I spoke.
"I don't know why you haven't popped the question yet." He questioned.
"Yeah I ask myself that question all the times." Clarence said as he walked inside the room.
Devin chuckled. "If I been with someone for four years now or more than that then I would have popped the question."
"Guys look I will do it if I ever have the chance but I just need to find the right time." I stated.
"Or you just scared that she might say no." Devin states.
Yeah maybe.......
"They have been together since high school and there is no way she would say no unless-"
"Look let not talk about this anymore." I cuts Clarence off and both of them nodded understanding that the conversation is over now.

I came home at ten to see the tv on and Erika sitting on the couch with her eyes focused on the screen.
I put my gym bag on the floor and walked to the couch where her back is facing me.
I wrapped my arms around her and she looked at me with a smile.
"Hey baby." I said as I kiss her on the lips.
"Hey when did you came home?" Erika asked.
"A few seconds ago." I said as I sat down on the couch.
"I see that you are watching a cheesy romantic movie." I say.
Erika scoffed. "It is not that cheesy well most of it is."
"Okay." I said while chuckling.
"Do you want to go on a cruise in August?" I said which caught her off guard.
"Don't you have games in that month?" Erika questioned.
"It is like a two-week trip so I will be fine and it took me a while to convince my coach to give me two weeks off so what do you say?" I stated.
"Yeah sure a cruise sounds fun and I just need to call my boss that I need to take a week off from work unless she wouldn't mind me doing it from home." She said.
A perfect time and a perfect month to propose to her.

"Can you see us being married?" Erika asked.
We were coming back from my dad and Sarah's wedding and I am not surprised that I didn't walked out of there like I did with my mom and Francis.
Even though I just want both of my parents to be back together, but I have to accept that will never happen.
"Yeah I can see us being married and probably have like eleven kids." I joked.
