"Do you think he is awake?" I questioned.
"I hope not." Erika said.
"Yeah, knowing he might ask questions but eventually you are going to have to talk to him." I said, opening the front door and both of us walked inside the house.
"Questions about what exactly?" She asked.
"You don't think he called a thousand times yesterday?"
"Yeah I know because I turned my phone off last night."
"Okay and I am going to take a shower so are you coming?"
"Yeah but not together because I am really tired after last night."
I laughed. "Yeah you were huh?"
"Please shut up." Erika playfully slapped me on the shoulder.
"Quite a screamer you know but at least we didn't get caught."
"I wasn't that loud and we both know your car is soundproof."
"You know we can test it again if you want to Erika." I put my hands on her waist and pulls her closer to me.
She looped her arms around my neck, a smirk playing on her lips. "Too bad that is not going to happen."

9:45 am
I opened the pill bottle and popped two pills in my mouth before swallowing it then drank some water.
My ankle doesn't bother me that much but when it does, it feels like I am stepping on hot lava and I just want to get rid of this pain so badly.
I want to play until I am in my forties or late thirties I don't know but at some point it just feel like I want to retire early in my career.
"Hey you are Sammy right?"
I turned around to see Erika's brother walking towards me in the kitchen.
"Yeah what's up?" I said as I put the cup in the sink.
"You know it is crazy that the first time we met, I thought you were a random guy eyeing my sister." Tyrone says.
"Yeah...." I trailed off.
"I was wrong but still know I am going to be protective over my sister, right?" Tyrone stated.
"Yeah I know and don't worry I would never hurt her." I spoke.
"I know and I wish I could get my sister to talk to me again."
"Just give her time."
He sighed. "Man if you were in my shoes, you would probably do the same thing that I did."
Yeah never in my life would I ever do that...
I rolled my eyes at him. "Ah yes having an illegal job is a good thing."
"Okay I admit it was really bad but I had no choice and I needed the money fast because of our mom was laying on her death bed for eight years while our dad was out there with his second family acting like we didn't exist."
I stayed silent and let him keep talking.
"He left when Erika was two and I was three or four I don't remember but I know he told me that he was going to come back but that asshole never did......The crazy part when I was twelve and our mom was diagnosed with cancer, I went to find where he was and to my surprise he had a wife and two kids that he looked very happy with so I-"
"You punched him?" I asked after cutting his sentence off.
"Yes, I did because I was fucking angry at him and the crazy part is that one of the child he had was the same age as me." He told me.
"Damn that is really messed up." I replied.
"Yeah, it is and that was the last time I saw him but I don't regret punching that deadbeat father of mine because he deserves it."
