Sammy's POV

"Happy birthday, baby," Erika whispered as she settled onto my lap, wrapping her arms around me.

I put the video game controller down on the couch and smiled.

"Thanks, babe. So, what are we doing today?" I asked.

"I got to go pick some things up and then at eight we are leaving for dinner," Erika tells me.

I politely inquired, "Could you please tell me about the surprise that you have for me?"

"No but just wait until tonight."

"Alright then and you know we should tell my parents about the pregnancy."

What made you change your mind about keeping it a secret until the birth? I thought we agreed on that plan."

"Yeah we did and I mean we don't have to tell everyone that we know yet but-"

Erika cuts me off.

"We can tell your parents but hopefully they don't tell your whole family about it."

"They won't."

"Okay then anyway I gotta go."

"Wait before you go, Erika. Maybe we should, you know..." I trailed off.

"Hey Sammy, if you can be patient and not ask me about the surprise all day, you might just get another amazing surprise," She teased.

She drew near and murmured something in my ear that brought a big grin to my face.

8:10 pm

"You finally shaved and got a haircut." Erika said.

"Just wanted a change." I said.

We left the house and walked to a car that looked like a Porsche and I was confused about whose car was it because I don't even drive one either does Erika.

"Whose car is this?" I asked.

"Yours." Erika said as she opened the car door.

"What do you mean it is mine?"

"I bought you a new car ever since the last one you had  got wrecked."

"No way are you serious?!"

She shook her head yes and I hugged her.

"You are the best person ever and this is the greatest present ever."

"Just wait until you see the other surprises."

"Can't wait." I said with a smile.

9:30 pm

"I won't lie, this is better than celebrating a birthday at a club," I remarked, savoring a sip of my wine.

"Yeah I can agree with that but anyway I got you two plane tickets to Hawaii." Erika said.

"Wow that's great so when are we leaving?" I asked.

"Two days after  Christmas." She states.

"I really love you like I really do." I spoke.

Erika was about to say something until a familiar figure showed up at our table.

And it was her Dad...........

"What the hell are you doing here?!" Erika exclaimed.
