"I was thinking about we should have the wedding in the spring." I spoke.
"I was thinking the same but what about having it outside?" Erika asked as she got on the bed.
I chuckled. "I am happy that you didn't say a church wedding because that shit is so fucking overrated."
"I used to want to get married in a church when I was younger, but I've since changed my mind," Erika says.
"It is sad that your mother isn't here to see her daughter getting married, but she would have been happy for you."
Erika let out a deep sigh, her voice filled with emotion. " It's true, she would have been." she said. Her words carried a sense of longing and sorrow, a reminder of the truth that cannot be changed. It's a powerful thought, one that lingers in the air like a gentle breeze, and it's one that we should all take to heart.
She lay on my chest while I draped my arm around her back and caressed it.
"Hey, how was your day?" I asked, trying to change the subject.
"Stressful when you are dealing with a lot of clients and their problems." She told me.
"At least you come home to your favorite person in the world." I said with a smile.
"Yeah." She said, giving me a kiss on the cheeks.

"The funniest thing about this is that your contract is almost up next year and yet this injury happened." Griffin said.
My manager/agent Griffin came over to check on me to see how I am doing and then we started talking about my contract.
I scoffed. "So you think they won't resign me?"
"I am not saying they wouldn't but who know how much money you want."
"How much do you think I want Griffin?"
"Somewhere between 300-400 million dollars."
"And you think the Giants will offer me that much money?"
"If another team offer you the same amount of money, would you sign to that team or stay loyal to the team that drafted you?" He asked.
When I think about it, I never wanted to stay in California for the rest of my life and when the Giants drafted me, I was happy to be closer to my family but sometimes I feel like I wanted something else.
"It depends if I want a new start or not but what about a trade?"
"Are you requesting a trade Sammy?"
I rolled my eyes. "I am not but aren't there rumors that I might get traded?"
"Well there are teams that wants you on their team but I don't think the San Francsico Giants wants to trade their best player unless you force them to."
"Well Griffin that is not going to happen at all."
The doorbell rang and Griffin looked at me with a look on his face. "Are you expecting someone or something?" He asks.
"No but Erika also lives here and have her own key so it can't be her." I said, grabbing my crutches and walked to the front door.
I opened the door and standing front of me was Cameron.
"Cameron long time no see." I say.
"Nice to see you man." Cameron spoke.
