The Past In The Present - JIKOOK

Chapter 35

Third person's POV

The days were becoming more and more colder and windy, since it's autumn. Jungkook has now finished with work, his legal work at the company. The work hours in Jungkook's company are till 08:00 AM to 16:00 PM, but Jungkook always stays after the curfew. He is workaholic. And today is let's say like this his "free day" from mafia, nothing out of the ordinary, although his people have eyes all over the city in every hour. 

So that's why Jungkook asked Jimin to take him to dinner and a walk, and Jimin agreed. Now they are in Jungkook's car driving towards the restaurant. While in the car, both of them were quiet, only sharing glances at one another, Jungkook was focusing on the road, while Jimin was trying not to focus on Jungkook's handsome face. 

"Why are you quiet?" Jungkook asked, turning his face for a moment towards Jimin, than back at the road. 

"Why are you quiet?" Jimin asked turning the question towards Jungkook. Jungkook smirked for a moment, looking at Jimin, shaking his head, and smirk turning to a smile. Jimin also smiled. 

"To be honest, I don't know, it feels like I am out of touch, with me constantly working, and my only friends are Taehyung, Yoongi and Namjoon, who are also my work partners, so it's only work topics for me." Jungkook said. 

"Oh, wow. I guess, you actually have the good reason, lol." Jimin said with a little bit of teasing, not literally mocking Jungkook.

Jungkook actually let out the small laughter, which surprised Jimin, who thinks "how nice to hear his laughter", it was soothing to Jimin. Not knowing why, he feels such a strong feelings for Jungkook, in such a short time. Jimin never felt like this before. 

"I mean, it doesn't seem so, seeing you on every magazine, camera's following you, it's seems like...." Jimin says, stopping his sentence. 

"Like I have everything in my life." Jungkook says continuing Jimin's sentence, and Jimin nods.

"For me, for a long time, I lived day by day, never knowing what the future will look like, I learn that the hard way." Jungkook says, stopping on time, before he reveals everything. 

Jimin looks at Jungkook's face, seeing those eyes, filled with sadness, even though Jungkook seems to hide it by looking fierce and intimidating, but Jimin could see the background of the facade that Jungkook put on himself.  

When they arrived in front of the restaurant, it was the most beautiful restaurant Jimin have ever seen. It's looked romantic, special, intimate. They immediately got the table, Jungkook just had just had to say his name, and all the door opens. When they ordered drinks, another staff man, came to the table, with the basket of fresh single white roses, Jungkook ordered it to be brought to his table. 

"A white rose for an angel." Jungkook said, handing that rose to Jimin, who was so so shocked and a blushing mess at same time, that he grabbed that rose with a little shaky hand. He wanted to cry, he liked Jungkook so much, those little things that Jungkook does are so much bigger than some expansive dinner, gifts...like a single white rose, those kisses they shared, their moment at the Coney island...etc. 

"Thank you, Jungkook." Jimin couldn't help it, he got up a little, and sneaked a little kiss on the cheek, than on the lips and than got back on his seat. While Jungkook rubbed his cheek and touched his lips for a moment, savoring those kisses. 

Than the waiter came, to finally asked them what will they be ordering.

"So the project is going well..." Jimin asked. They were eating and talking about Jungkook's project, that Jungkook told Jimin through their phone calls, which they have everyday.
