Fiona woke up refreshed, all things considering. She dressed herself in a blue plaid skirt, a white button down, a Ravenclaw tie, and of course her robes. She walked around the Ravenclaw common room introducing herself to her house mates. Most seemed into learning, just like herself. Perhaps the hat was right in sorting her into Ravenclaw. She made her way to the Great Hall for breakfast and saw her brother Sean at the Gryffindor table. She approached and asked,
"Mind if I join you Sean?"
He looked up and smiled, nodding. She didn't want to abandon her own house table so soon, but she had dreamed of being at Hogwarts with her brothers for years. Sean asked about her trip to Hogwarts, and she gave him vague answers, not wanting to divulge too much in such an open space. She continued eating when a freckled face boy sat opposite to her, but he was not the same freckled face boy from yesterday.
"You know the new student Moriarty?" The boy said suggestively.
"She's my sister, Weasley you idiot." Sean laughed.
The boy reached out his hand to Fiona introducing himself.
"Hi I'm Garreth Weasley! Welcome to Hogwarts."
"I'm Fiona," she replied, "are you related to professor Weasley?"
"She's my aunt," Garreth sighed, "and no that does not mean I can get you out of detention."
"Well I'm sure it's nice having family here," Fiona said, "I'm so lucky to have Sean here."
She took Sean in her arms and gave him a squeeze. She felt a presence behind her. She turned around to see Professor Weasley. She led Fiona out of the Great Hall, gave her her class schedule as well as a field guide to Hogwarts, to help her catch up to her peers. Fiona was slightly overwhelmed with the size of the castle, when she realized she needed to get to her first class, Defense Against the Dark Arts.
As Fiona walked into the classroom, she noticed that freckled face Slytherin boy dueling with a red headed Gryffindor. Before anyone could win, professor Hecat entered the class room and began her lesson. She taught Fiona how to cast levioso and decided Fiona should be the first to duel. Hecat chose the freckled face Slytherin as her opponent.
Sebastian was excited to beat the new fifth year. He was the dueling champion after all. He approached her before taking his place at the other end of the table and simply said,
"Time for a proper Hogwarts welcome!" He was grinning ear to ear, when Fiona responded,
"Catch yourself on!" Smiling herself.
That comment once again seemed to distract Sebastian for a moment, and Fiona was able to hit him with levioso followed by basic casts to knock him off the table. She had won the duel. Sebastian got off the floor in disbelief. What the fuck was it about that phrase in her voice that did something to him?
Class soon ended and Sebastian approached Fiona outside the room.
"That was certainly a good duel. You give as good as you get. The whole school will be talking about it."
He then spoke further,
"One might think that wasn't your first dueling experience."
Fiona felt nervous around him. His smile was infectious, and she did fancy him a bit. She replied to him,
"You are correct in that assumption, I have a bit of fighting experience."
"Well then you would be perfect for an unsanctioned and exclusive dueling club," Sebastian said, "are you keen?"
"Unsanctioned and exclusive? I'm in!" Fiona beamed. She couldn't believe she was invited to a club already on her first day at Hogwarts.
"I'm Sebastian by the way," Sebastian said reaching out his hand, "Sebastian Sallow."
