Ariel's POV

~~~
I watched the two vampires exit the chamber, leaving me to my own.
The mansion was quite large, embellished with golden decorations and ornaments. It felt like royalty.
To my surprise, I could somehow read the air, sensing what was moving or not. The sounds of a butterfly beating its wings caught my attention. The exit must be close by.
Being a vampire has its perks, I guess... What am I thinking...
Quietly, I traveled across corridors and came upon the exit, the door opened slightly.
I opened the door to see a garden filled with roses and daffodils. The butterflies were also dancing in the wind.
The sunlight was harsh. Was it safe for me to walk into?
Vampires are known to burn in the sunlight.
Covered by the mansion's shadow, I lifted my hand towards the light, slowly reaching out.
My fingers were illuminated by the sun... But it did not hurt.
I thought vampires burned in the sunlight.
I bolted out of the door and scurried across the garden. I only needed to jump across this fence—
"!!!"
Someone caught me by the back of my dress. The force made me yelp.
"We don't want you escaping," a large man with blonde hair and brown eyes raised my face next to his.
"Let me go!"
The man carried me back to the mansion, "Master Heliosinclaire would be sad if you escaped."
" I never wanted to become a vampire! Let me go!" I struggled to set myself free but was trust upon the mansion's wall.
The man glared at me, his face close to mine, "you don't understand your situation. You've turned into a vampire, so now you must join them. If you go back to your village, then you won't be able to control your thirst. Your fellow vampires will be able to help you."
Fellow vampire? Why would they want to help me? I was just food to them a while ago.
"Thank you for catching the little lamb, Lucius," Frey walked towards us, staying in the shadows, "but now that she is a Heliosinclaire, would it not be wise to let her do as she pleases?"
Lucius let me go, "although a Heliosinclaire, she is not my master."
"You're quite humorous for a human, Lucius," Frey chuckled.
Human? This man was a human? Why was he working with the vampires?
Lucius grabbed me by the arm and dragged me back into the building, grunting as he passed Frey.
"Why... Are you working with the vampires?" I asked.
Lucius only glared at me and pushed me into the room. He sighed and headed towards the exit to close the door.
I held my arm where he grabbed me and glared back.
Frey placed his hands on my shoulders, "Lady Sinclaire, although a vampire, you indeed do have Master Sinclaire's blood running in your veins." He smiled, "the sunlight does not harm purebloods." He whispered into my ear, "but that does not mean you can attempt to run away so easily."
I jolted back, swiping his hands away. He chuckled.
"Master Sinclaire has made you his family. He would become disheartened if you left him."
I felt faint.
"And you would not survive that long without his blood in that state."
My vision became blurry and I collapsed to the floor. Ugh. What is happening?
I could only make out the their silhouettes as it seemed that Lucius picked me up and walked towards a corridor.
We entered the room I was sleeping in.
I was placed on the bed, my head facing up towards the ceiling.
I could hear Frey's icy voice, "rest here, little lamb. Master Sinclaire will be back soon to give you some of his blood. The blood bond is not over yet."
They left the room as I tried to breathe steadily.
This feeling. This craving--
I wanted to drink Eugene's blood.
I blacked out.
