Eugene's POV

~~~
I arrived at El's village. Although it was the daytime, there were just a small amount of humans carrying about their day.
My folk attacked these humans. Many of them remained in their homes, still shocked from last night.
I strolled across the streets, smelling the air in search of El's family.
The building next to me carried her scent, so I approached the entrance and knocked on the door.
A frail old woman titled her head outside through the entrance, gasping at what she saw.
My appearance does seem frightening – a tall man with black hair and dark clothing, all except for my piercing glass blue eyes.
"Is this the home of El?"
The old maiden shook, "El? You mean Ariel?"
Ariel.
It was sweet and soft on the tongue.
"You know Ariel, good sir?" the woman quivered, "do you know where she is?"
I bowed deeply, "Yes, I am an acquaintance of hers. My name is Eugene Heliosinclaire, a vampire who has decided to adopt Lady Ariel into my family."
"Vampi—" the woman abruptly closed the door.
I stood still to hear her running in the building, speaking with what it supposed to be the other members of Ariel's family. Hushes and fear.
I've accomplished my task and decided to return to the estate. I checked my watch.
It was getting late and I could quickly run back, but that would garner attention, so I decided to get on the carriage.
Ariel.
A new family member.
Ellenior. It seems as if my loneliness was too strong.
I stared out the window as the carriage took me back to the estate.
Ariel's POV
~~~

Ugh... What time is it?...

I peered open my eyes. It seems as if I had slept for a while.

My hair slipped past my shoulders as I got up.

I felt hot.

What is this craving?

I felt thirsty.

Then it hit me.

I could smell blood from across the rooms. This was that man's blood. Eugene.

I tried to hold my breath but couldn't so I bolted out of the room.

The whole mansion was permeated with his scent. It made me so thirsty.

It wasn't a while until I bumped into him. His scent pierced into my whole being. I couldn't control myself.

I jumped onto him, biting into his neck with my new fangs, then sucked in his blood. It was amazing. The taste was indescribable. I could feel his blood merging with mine, giving me a sense of ecstasy.

We both fell to the floor.

"Ariel," he said.

I froze. I never told him my name. How did he know?

"Were you faring well while I was away?"

I separated myself from him, pushing my hands against his chest.

He held my hand and had a gentle smile.

Who is this man? He made me feel so comfortable. No. It was his vampire powers making me feel this way. I shouldn't trust him.

He got up and leveled me up as well.

"Ariel, I will be taking you to my estate this evening. We will introduce you to the society as a member of my family," he gazed into my eyes. I couldn't help but stare back.

"Will I..." I gulped in his blood.

He waited for as long as I remained silent, waiting for my response patiently.

"I... Will I be living with you?" I hung my head low. I was distressed about my future. I didn't want to eat humans.

I looked up to see his neck covered in blood, but his wound had already healed.

Eugene placed his hands on my shoulders, "Yes, Ariel. And I will take good care of you."
