"I guess it's just you and me, Byers. What do you wanna do?" Max asked.
"I'm not sure, we could go to the mall?" Will grinned, and Max's eyes lit up.
"Ooo yes! Let's go!" She grinned, and they both went over to the bus stop.
"We should go and see Robin and scoops ahoy." Max told Will, who had a confused look on his face.
"Is she the girl who works with Steve?" He asked, and Max nodded.
"She's so nice! And she always gives me free ice cream." Max giggled, and Will scoffed.
"Wow Max, really showing where your priorities are." Will chuckled, dragging Max on the bus.
They sat down and Max startes blabbering on about something, and Will began to space out.
"Why do you keep speaking! I'm clearly not bothered!"
"Well maybe I don't want to be his fucking best friend!"
"Kill yourself, fucking faggot. Nobody will ever love you."
"Will! Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiill!" Max waves hed hands in front of the smaller boys face, causing him to snap out of his thoughts.
"Sorry, what's wrong?" He apologized.
"We're here!" She grinned, dragging him off of the bus.
"Oh my god, Max! Slow down!" Will chuckled.
"Noo we need to hurry before all of the shops become too busy!" Max whined, dragging Will along to scoops ahoy.
"Max. When is scoops ever busy?" Will scoffed.
"You never know, Will." She grinned, pulling out change from her wallet.
They got to the front of the line ans Max began to order.
"Can I please have.. a strawberry cone with extra sprinkles!" She smiled.
"Of course, Will would you like anything?" She turned to the smaller boy.
"I-I-.. No thank you." Will smiled slightly.
Max instantly knew what was happening and shook her head.
"Nope, he'll be having a small vanilla cone." Max demanded.
"Max-"
"Will. You're having something." She told him, and he sighed, knowing she wouldn't say no.
Max always assumed he didn't get food because he didn't have enough money, and Will never corrected her so every time they came to scoops she would force him to get an ice cream.
Robin handed them both their ice-creams and they both thanked her before walked to a booth.
"So Byers. Do I have permission to beat up Mike yet?" Max raised her eyebrows.
"Max! You know why I'll never let you." Will blushed.
"Yeah yeah whatever, I still don't see what you see in him." She mumbled, taking a big bite out of her ice cream.
"Max that is disgusting." Will scoffed, getting a napkin and wiping around her mouth.
"Aww what a gentleman!" Max grinned, and Will chuckled slightly.
"I'm only a gentleman because you're a slob." Will muttered under his breath.
"William Byers! Do not be so rude!" Max gasped, placing a hand over her heart.
