"I love him." Mike accidentally thought out loud.
"What?" Max gasped.
"D-Did I say that out loud?" Mike panicked, looking up quickly.
"Yeah, yeah you did!" Max grinned.
"Shit- No, no I didn't mean it." Mike began to panick, scared of what Max might think of him.
"Mike you definitely did!" Max grinned, and Mike thought she was making fun of him.
"No I didn't!" He fired, and Max's eyes widended.
"Dude calm down." She scoffed.
"N-No Max I don't like him." Mike tried, his eyes filled with terror.
Max saw how scared he looked and sighed.
"Mike. I'm not going to judge you if you like him. I know that I was all mad at you before but that's only because your hurting Will. Now that I know why then I understand, you just need to talk to me." She sat down, offering a small smile.
Mike looked at her and scanned her face for a minute, before slumping down next to her.
"I-I don't want to like him.." Mike whispered.
Max sighed and remembered when this happened to Will.
"Mike, I know you don't want to like him but maybe you should talk to him about it.." Max suggested, and Mike's face fell slightly.
"No. He'd hate me." He muttered.
"Mike. Will could never hate you, not in a million years." Max shrugged, and Mike looked up at her.
"..Really?" He whispered.
"Yeah, now go and talk to him." Max urged, and Mike was about to until he remembered something.
"I can't." He stopped at the door, his hand on the door knob.
"What? Why!?" Max whined.
"I'm dating eleven." Mike sighed.
"Oh." Max muttered.
Either way, somebody was going to get hurt.
"I-I don't know what you can do." Max sighed.
"I'm gonna break up with her." Mike announced.
"Woah, okay wait for a minute Mike-" Max tried, but Mike was already storming out of the door.
"Shit.." Max muttered.
Mike walked over to El and tapped her on the shoulder.
"Yes?" Eleven smiled.
"U-Uh.. I need to talk to you.." Mike lost any confidence he had seeing El's loving smile.
"Oh, okay. Will, I be back soon!" She smiled, and she got up and took Mike's hand.
Mike took her into his room and say her down on the bed.
"Mike, what's wrong?" El frowned, looking at the upset look on her boyfriends face.
"I- Uh.. I want to b-break up." Mike stammered, and El's eyes widended.
"What? No Mike please!" El teared up, and Mike instantly felt bad.
"El I-I'm sorry I just-" Mike tried, but was cut off by a loud sob.
"I hate you! I hate you so much!" El cried, leaving the room.
"No El please-" Mike tried to follow her, but she was storming towards the living room.
"Don't talk to me ever again." She sobbed, sitting down on the couch.
"Well you're kinda in my house so.." Mike mumbled, looking around awkwardly.
"What happened?" Will spoke up softly.
"Shut up." El snapped.
"Don't be fucking rude to him!" Mike scowled.
"Why do you even care!? Last time I checked you didn't want to be his best friend!" El fired, and both Will and Mike were speechless.
"Wh-.. Why are you being so rude? I tried to be nice about it! I apologized and I didn't even need to and now you're just being a bitch to both me and Will!" Mike frowned, genuinely hurt.
"Because it's not fair, Mike!" Eleven sobbed, before grabbing her bag and storming out of the house.
Mike stood there for a minute, staring at the door that was lying open.
"Dude, what just happened." Dustin muttered.
"I-I broke up with her." Mike whispered, closing the door.
"What? Why?" Lucas raised an eyebrow, an Will slightly lifted his head off of Lucas's lap.
"I don't lover her anymore. I don't think I ever did." Mike sighed, slumping down next to Dustin.
"What?" Dustins voice was laced with confusion.
"I love somebody else." Mike muttered, sneaking a quick glance of Will.
"Holy shit! Who?" Lucas grinned as Max sat down next to him.
"U-Uh.. Doesn't matter." Mike muttered, his cheeks becoming a light pink colour.
Will's mood very obviously shifted, and Mike noticed this.
"Will what's wrong?" Mike spoke softly, and both Lucas and Dustin immediately grinned.
"N-Nothing, who do you like?" Will tried to get Mike to answer.
"It- It doesn't matter, okay!" Mike groaned, his cheeks bright red.
"Why won't you tell us?" Will frowned.
"Just-.. I don't want to." Mike muttered.
"Oh. Okay." Will mumbled, turning his head around so that he wouldn't be facing Mike.
Mike looked over at Max, and she began mouthing something.
"Tell him".
She urged, and Mike nodded hurriedly.
"Will, can- can you come with me for a minute?" Mike muttered, and Will was silent for a minute.
"Okay." He whispered, lifting his head off of Lucas's lap.
The three grinned as they watched both Will and Mike walk off, knowing exactly what would happen.
Mike sat Will down on the bed and he sat down next to him.
"Mike, what's going on? Are you okay?" Will frowned, concern lacing his voice.
"I-I think I'm in love with you."
