Lan Wangji lifted Wei Ying's hands to his lips, pressing soft, reverent kisses to his palms.

Wei Ying's laughter rippled through the garden, light and carefree, carried on the gentle night breeze. The simple gesture melted away the remnants of tension from their earlier conversation, leaving only the warmth of shared affection.

"Lan Zhan," Wei Ying murmured, his smile soft and his eyes bright with emotion, "you've changed. And I'm grateful."

Lan Wangji answered without words, leaning in to capture Wei Ying's lips in a tender kiss. Wei Ying's initial surprise gave way to fervent response, his hands caressing Wangji's face and pulling him closer. The mingling scents of sandalwood and blooming flowers surrounded them, a perfect accompaniment to the quiet intensity of the moment.

As their kiss deepened, the world around them faded. It was a kiss of unspoken promises and unwavering devotion, a vow to stand together against whatever came their way. When they finally parted, their foreheads touched, breaths mingling in soft, synchronized rhythms.

"You've been driving me wild, Lan Zhan," Wei Ying whispered, his voice teasing yet laden with sincerity, "from the very beginning."

He pulled Wangji into another kiss, fierce and consuming, his hands tangling around Wangji's neck to draw him down. They sank onto the soft grass, Wei Ying reclining beneath the starlit sky. Wangji followed, careful and measured, supporting himself on his forearms to keep his weight from Wei Ying, their lips never breaking apart.

Time seemed to stop as they surrendered to the moment. Wei Ying's fingers traced the strong lines of Wangji's back, igniting an unquenchable fire with every caress. Their bodies pressed together as if seeking to become one, each touch and whispered endearment a testament to their love.

When Wangji finally broke the kiss, his gaze was soft yet intense, filled with love that seemed to echo in the stillness of the night. "We should go inside," he said, his voice breathless.

Wei Ying's eyes, still bright with desire and affection, met his. "Yes," he whispered, a playful curve to his lips.

Hand in hand, they rose from the grass, helping each other with unspoken care. Their hearts raced with anticipation as they walked back to the Jingshi, the night embracing them as they moved toward the sanctuary where their love could continue to unfold.

Each week, Wei Ying spent his nights in the Jingshi. Sometimes, A-Yuan joined him, and their evenings were filled with laughter, games, shared meals, and restful slumber. Lan Wangji cherished these moments, embracing the warmth and vitality they brought into his life. Wei Ying and A-Yuan had become his family, and he found joy in looking after them.

Occasionally, Wei Ying would leave A-Yuan in Wen Qing's care, seeking an evening of intimacy with Wangji. Last night had been one of those treasured nights. Wangji awoke early the following morning, memories of their shared passion flooding his mind like sunlight spilling into the room.

Beside him, Wei Ying lay in peaceful slumber, his serene expression a tender contrast to the fiery passion they had shared. Wangji's heart swelled as he gently brushed a strand of hair from Wei Ying's face, marveling at how the soft morning light framed the man he loved.

A faint smile curved his lips as he reflected on their night together. It had exceeded his wildest dreams—just like Wei Ying himself. How had he endured life without this love? The thought seemed impossible now.

Watching Wei Ying sleep, Wangji was filled with quiet contentment. The yearning for closeness, once unfulfilled, had found its answer in the bond they now shared. Their love was steadfast, deeply rooted, and only growing stronger. Life without Wei Ying was no longer conceivable.
