2.The mother of nature

Hearing her talk about her death, the beast god was aching to hold her in his arms. The beast god thought to himself for a moment, could she be my destiny?

"There is only one place in the entire beast world that would not only keep you safe but also give you freedom to roam. As well as have enough food all year round." The beast god looked intently at Sonya as he spoke to her.

As she looked back at him she wondered "What's the catch? It seems too good to be true." She responds.

Sighing the beast god ran his hand over his ears to the back of his head.

"A very very long time ago I noticed the beast world heading in a straight line to destruction with the way the beast men treated the beast women as breeding stock. The fertility of the beast women dropped, while they started to only go into heat once a year. While more and more male cubs were born. Fewer and fewer female beasts were born. Going to the Tree of Life where the beast people originated from I decided to make a deal with the tree spirit. I gave up half of my divine powers to the tree to create the symbol and bond that the beast people have today. Before the males never felt warmth or at peace while the females never got to be doted on protected, cherished, and loved. So the bond allows both to receive that. The massive amount of power I gave up, greatly weakened me. However, I used up the rest of my magic only a drop was left. To raise the land that was surrounding the tree of life into the air far enough that no beast person could reach. I then began to create an impenetrable barrier that would look like nothing more than the open sky to those from outside while those within could see it all. After I was finally done. I fell into a deep slumber and by the time that I awoke, half of the population hated me... You see when a female breaks the bond with a male. It leaves them feeling the same way they used to feel and the reason I wanted to create the bond for them to begin with. However, they only get one chance. So once lost they never feel relief again. Achem. Anyway, over the years I have brought up many many different kinds of animals but no beast person has ever stepped foot on that land since the moment it was raised. After a while, the Tree of Life and I came to an agreement that I would only have one mate tell the day I died, and only she and our offspring could live on the island. So you can go to the island with me and be my one soul mate and be safe. We can also wait till we get to know each other before I touch you. I won't force children on you either. We will be equals in life and death. However, you will be isolated from the rest of the world. Or staying on the surface and having no say in having an uncountable amount of mates and bred tell death because you are a female they could do whatever they wanted to with no fear of rejection since you have no symbol to exchange. " He finishes in a huff.

Sonya stared wide-eyed at him, her mouth hanging slightly open. Completely shocked she covers her mouth with her hand as she turns beat red.

"How can you expect me to respond to that when I don't even know your name?" she asks shyly.

Chuckling he smiles wildly, his tail beginning to sway back and forth behind him.

"I'm known to most as the beast god, I am a white lion. However, you can call me Leo." To Sonya, he looked as though he wanted to be praised for something.

Giggling Sonya tilts her head to the side, "what exactly do you need to do to bond with me?" she asks.

"We just need to mate, I will bite you towards the end. That will help stimulate the power I transfer to you through our mating marks as they form." He says, with a devilish smirk playing across his lips.

Thinking everything over in her head that has been said so far, Sonya begins to wonder about a few things. Looking over at the only beast woman who is sitting on the shaman's lap.
