19. the great emerald tree

The crickets sang and the wind gently blew the salty air. The night continued as they shared barbequed meat, and freshly squeezed juice using berries. They all enjoyed themselves as they relaxed, the tension of the move slowly drifting from their bodies. 

As they got full, they separated into groups of mates and cubs.
It's been a few days sort of two months since they arrived.
They all spent the first week decorating their homes and familiarizing themselves with their surroundings.
Sonya after the trip wasn't allowed to do much moving around the first couple of days, Leo ensured she got proper rest.

Her belly grew bigger as the days went by spending time either teaching them knowledge from her world or preparing her body and mind the best she could for delivery. Angelica stayed true to her word and shared the wisdom that she gained from her deliveries as well as the ones she has helped deliver. Also Angelica and her mates finally asked Sonya if they could adopt her, in which she agreed too. 

On the other hand, Sonya and Leo spent every minute they could together. Talking and learning more about each other. Sonya drew out simple designs of different things to put around there seaside village that they have come to start calling. Lion pride seaside village, after Leo's floating island The Majestic Lions pride. 

With forming a pride, multiple animals will come together from all walks of life. Together under Sonya's design multiple males as well as Leo, came together to create Guardian statues. One to represent each kind of animal that has joined their village. They where placed in various places, while Sonya used her own high earth element to construct Leo's Majestic winged Lion form. His statue stood tall in the middle of the grass lands, over looking all the homes.

 
Leo was stunned when she showed him, since she took it upon herself to sneak out when he was helping the other males. As punishment he made her stay off her feet and rest the whole next day. However, he still doted on her and showered her in unending love. After discussing with Leo and the little sapling, they finally planted him in the ground, directly behind Leo's statue. The little sapling has since grown far faster than Sonya was expecting, as it now towered over what she thought was a massive statue, making it seem a little small. Sonya had been nourishing the tree with her element causing her to worry at the sight of the rapped growth.

Leo reassured her it was possibly due to her little cubs pulling in the world's elements. That gave her a shock for sure! After a few hours of reassuring her that the cubs were perfectly fine, they where just special, She finally calmed down. 

The village often ate together, not long after they arrived Sonya noticed the lack of proper hygiene. After a short internal breakdown, she called a meeting. Everyone cubs and all gathered around the pagoda. 

She stood tall in front of them all, and, had a long conversation about how important it is to stay clean. Not only would males like them more, it would cause less sickness. They all agreed her words made sense. Shaman came forward and brought more questions. Based on the herbal knowledge, and common sense of a woman from Earth's 2025. They came to understand more about what could be causing their beast females to have lower fertility and a higher death count.

Sonya spent more time than Leo would have liked on designing bathrooms to be attached to each stone house.
The large wooden structures consisted of two separate parts, one side had a large sandbox-looking structure in one of the corners. Since let's be honest, they are still beast people. On the opposite corner from the sandbox was a wooden seat. The wooden toilet had a handle on the bottom under the lid, allowing the bottom to slide out. so as it needs to be disposed of it would be easy and convenient. In the third corner across from the entryway stood a stone cylinder with a stone bowl placed on top. In the middle of the bowl, a small bamboo pole poked through. 

After adding fresh clean water with the elements, the water flowed around the bamboo, going down the cylinder and back up through the bamboo tube. Creating a flowing fountain for them to wash their hands and faces. Going through the wooden door leads to a wooden entryway. Halfway through the wide hallway is the door leading inside the stone houses. Adjacent to it is the door leading outside.
