As we got comfortable on the beastman-sized sectional, I was on Kins' lap, my back to his chest, his hands resting over my tummy. Frost sat on my left, holding one hand. Sora sat on my right, holding my other hand. Ember sat next to Sora, and Gage sat next to Frost. Hunter soon came in, sitting next to Gage after giving me kisses.

As I was taking a moment to look over my sexy men, I couldn't help but frown looking at Gage and Hunter I asked.

"Hunter, Gage, two of my sexy mates. Why didn't Sean come back with you?"

They both gave each other confused looks before looking back at me.

"Sean didn't come to help us with smoking meat or hunting."

I gripped Sora and Frost's hands for a moment to help lower my anxiety.

"He told me he was leaving to go help you two. Has anyone seen Gem? I'm not sure how far he went during his gathering."

I tried feeling their locations through the mating bond, concentrating on them.

Kin rubbed his face in my neck, lowing soft tendrils of pheromones over my racing pulse my body relaxed from the rigidness of worry and confusion.

Frost purred and Gage chuffed at me while Kin rubbed my neck with his face. Hunter came before me with a fresh cup of strawberry lavender tea, placing it in my hands as Sora and Frost's hands let mine go and moved to my thighs.

"I can feel Gem making his way quickly in this direction, I called out for him using my mating mark. Sean, I don't understand. I can't feel or find him like he is being hidden or shielded somehow. I could forcefully find him but something tells me I could hurt myself or our cubs if I tried. Like a rebound."

A shiver ran up my spine as goosebumps formed on my skin.

Kin rubbed my tummy softly in little circles using his fingertips.

Sora fed me a small slice of dragon fruit, the taste bringing quick comfort.
Sighing I looked to the visiting kings.

"How long has it been since the two of you have been to the tree of serenity?"

"I was originally from the 10-tailed fox tribe, a village bordering forest and plains. It has been 10 cold seasons since leaving with a friend who was a wale." Jasper spoke up, his eyes looking a bit distant.

"I have two brothers who live in a tribe on the opposite side of the tree from the Beast City. Their strength is far stronger than those in the Beast City; they border the jungle and plains. My last visit was in the middle of the hot season; I had just returned eight days before I met you," Thane told me.

Nodding, I thought about how I wanted to go about viewing them.

I put a picture of Elder Ki's point of view of the tree on the wall across from everyone.

"Jasper, can you please show me your memory of the tree of serenity."

I bit my lip as I saw his memory, putting the picture on the wall to the right of the first.

Turning to Thane I have a soft smile, he saw my subtle changes as he watched me like his favorite prey.

He looked hesitant before nodding.

My eyes filled with tears as a gasp left my lips, the last picture was on the right of the second so they went from oldest to newest left to right.

The once vibrant giant white and gold tree had slowly withered darkening as its glow faded. Thane's most recent memory shows the tree probably wouldn't make it another full cold season.
