39. Wolf Guardians

"Goddess, I can feel you trembling. Can I help you over to the fire?" Gem asked her as he helped hold her up.

Blushing deeply, diamond is unable to look him in the eyes as she gives him a nod in acceptance.

Gem smoothly cradled her in his arms bridal style, causing her to wrap her arms around his neck as a squeal of surprise left her lips.

As they made their way to the large fire that had been made, she could smell meat already beginning to cook. Not far from the fire she could see a nest had been made and covered with fluffy furs.

She smiled warmly at the beast men and women who surrounded the place, many with their own fires being started.

Gem gently laid her utop the furs before  walking towards the fire.

Diamond looked at everyone.

"Thank you all for preparing food so fast, I hope I'm not the only one to enjoy it. Please everyone eat with me." She said happily.

As everyone started doing their own things, alpha sat in front of her, placing the now healthy wolf cub in her lap.

"You did well sister, you were able to bless each and every one of their beast marks as well as start the process on many of them awakening their roots. I'm sure mother and father will be proud of you. Have you picked a name for my new nephew?" Alpha praised while teasing her.

"We wolves usually pick our own names after we come of age and can turn." Frost spoke up as he sat next to me, placing a purple bubbly fruit at my lips. (Grape)

"Oh that's different. Our family is given our names at birth. I know my father at first didn't but where my mother comes from is how it was done. So I'll name him and if he later decides he wants something else I won't hold him back from choosing." Diamond looked into frosts eyes as she spoke, giving him a warm smile at the end.

Frost gave a small nod, while smiling at her lovingly as he continued to feed her.

Gem came back holding a large leaf with thin sliced meat cubes, setting to her left. Behind him was winter. As he came forward he bowed.

"Goddess I have talked to our people, we have decided that we would like to add our land to yours. That way both ancestors can be joined as one. Would you take us?"

Diamond smiled kindly at the old beastman.

"I would love to have you all. My blessings that your bodies bare will allow you to pass through the barrier. I will start on the wall after I'm done eating. Then my brothers and I will continue to fly the perimeter and check the whole territory. After making our way back to the start which is the cliff side facing the sea, we will then head to the middle." She informs them before taking a piece of meat from Gems fingers.

"That is understandable, we can do all the moving and sorting. There should be no problems." Winter nodded as he spoke.

Poseidon came walking over with a freshly carved wooden cup filled with water.

"The water is still warm from boiling but you looked thirsty." Poseidon spoke up as he took a seat next to Alpha.

"Thank you everyone." She said as she put the tip of her finger in the water, chilling it.

As she finished eating and drinking her fill her eyes went wide as realization that two extremely hot wolf beastmen just fed her the entire time. Not once did her hands touch the food, and it felt so natural she didn't even notice.

A blush spreads across her cheeks and up to her ears.
Trying to escape her nervousness she rose to her feet, walking away from them leaving the cub on the furs. she makes a tall rectangular shape with hands in front of her. A second later an opening in space the size of a door was opened.
