Having made 14 fish, she gave two each to her little blue fairies.

Feeling curious eyes on her, she looks at the mermen setting on the ground on the other side of the fire.

Finally after a few minutes of questioning looks, kane spoke.

"Are those your cubs? You smell unmated though..." He asked, his words trailing off when he felt as though he offended her.

"You could say they are my children in a sense. They are what I call water fairies, they can swim and fly..... You see other than my siblings, their mates and cubs as well as my father beast and mother beast. I was not once allowed to leave the protected island. They said it was for my own protection but I knew, they were trying to protect others from me. I held so much power from the moment I was born that my emotions often led to me losing control. My little fairies became my friends. There is a city that my parents built, it's the closest one to the island and completely isolated. I asked many times to visit but stopped after being told no so many times. There is a lot about me I can only share with my mates. Anyway, I used my blood along with my elemental blessings to create my little fairy friends. There are both genders so they won't be the only ones, so far other than the water fairies that I called to be with me now. The others are all on my land, not far from here. I'm sure you all know what land I'm talking about, it's been sealed off from the outside for hundreds of years. Two years ago, when I turned 16 winters. I awakened a unique root, I got scared and it swallowed me whole. I was sent very far from home, my father and mother decided to let me begin finding potential mates and staying at the territory my father bestowed upon me. An accident happened and I was hurt to the point I almost died, for two winters I didn't wake up. When I did, I found two of my potential mates had abandoned me and my parents stopped visiting, leaving only a few of my brothers behind. I have a few potential mates still waiting for me to go back. I was able to become one with my power in that two years but I'm sure it took a mental toll on everyone else. Hurt by my mates actions and my family's absence I left to pull myself together, that's how I met you all."

The little fairies were cuddling her as she spoke, feeling her sadness in more than just her eyes color.

"So is your father beast or Mother beast a mermaid?" Triton asked.

Shaking her head no she explained the best she could.

"No my father beast is the lion beast god Leo and my Mother is the world's only human, she is also known as the mother of nature. It is my goddess of fertility powers that allow me to become closer to other species, taking on their forms. My mermaid form is the first one I have had, other than my natural form that you see now and my goddess form with my wings."

They all had 🤯 facial expressions, making diamond laugh as she continued to make the fish. As she handed two to each of them, they tried to decline but she wasn't having it. Finally satisfied that they were eating, she started cooking her own.

"So does that mean you're leaving?" Wade questioned.

"Of course, I only flew out here because I was really sad and needed to do some thinking. I do think I will be swimming back though, I would like to see more of the ocean. I know I will have to be quick though since the first frost is almost upon us." She replied.

They each looked forlorn.

"My grandmother before she passed in the great massacre had a mermaid mate, I would like to see what is left of the city."

"Are you talking about the city that is behind the barrier?" Kane asked as he made more fish, copying how she did. Setting it on a leaf in front of her when he was done.

Nodding her head.

"Yes, it's a part of the territory that my father left me." She said simply like it explained it all.
