Sokka and I were going over the invasion plan when Katara placed a cup in my hand and one in Sokka's. As I took a sip, a wave of uncertainty washed over me. So much could have changed, and X is not be the same person I remembered.
"Do you think we've got this?" I asked nervously, seeking reassurance.
Sokka looked my way and replied, "I think so, but if we don't, I honestly don't know."
His response didn't provide the confidence boost I was hoping for. Just then, Aang bounded onto the cliff, his face beaming with joy. Momo perched on his shoulder, and Aang greeted us all with a cheerful, "Top of the morning!"
"Sounds like you slept well," Katara exclaimed, relieved to see him.
"Like a baby moose-lion," Aang responded confidently. "I'm ready to face the Fire Lord."
Toph chimed in, her voice filled with curiosity, "So, what's your plan for taking him down? Gonna get your glow on and hit him with some Avatar state action?" She playfully threw air punches, adding a touch of humour.
Aang's expression turned sombre as he replied, "I can't. When Azula struck me with lightning, my seventh chakra got blocked. It cut off my connection to all the cosmic energy in the universe."
With a hint of sarcasm, Toph retorted, "You know what I just heard? Blah, blah, spiritual mumbo jumbo, blah, blah, something about space."
Katara's face fell, realizing the gravity of the situation. Gesturing toward a dense fog rolling in, she asked Sokka, "Do you think the fog will delay the invasion?"
Sokka peered at the approaching fog and responded, "No, that is the invasion."
Emerging from the fog were numerous Water Tribe ships, one of them carrying Sokka's and Katara's father, Hakoda. Relief washed over me at the sight, but I couldn't shake off my nervousness as the invasion drew near. Aang and Toph swiftly earthbent, creating a solid ground for the ships to dock.
Katara and Sokka embraced their father, their faces lighting up with joy at the reunion. I watched as everyone came together again, the swamp people, Haru and his father Tyro, even the Boulder and the Hippo.
Along with many other old friends. The sense of camaraderie and unity filled the air, reminding us of the strength we held when we stood together.
We gathered around, sitting together as Sokka prepared to pitch his plan. I could see the nervousness in his eyes, but Hakoda, ever the supportive father, reassured him with a comforting presence.
Sokka mustered up his courage and stood, holding the plans in his hands. He began to speak, albeit with some stutters and backtracking. However, Hakoda stepped forward, taking charge and confidently presenting the plan.
Katara prepared herself by filling her pouches with water, her determination shining through. Toph dressed in her Earth Kingdom attire, adding extra defensive measures. I couldn't help but blush as I looked at her, appreciating her unique beauty. Her strength and resilience never failed to amaze me.
As I glanced around, I noticed Appa standing proudly on the cliff's edge, adorned with the new and improved armour that Sokka had crafted for him, Aang shaved his head, reverting back to the bald monk we all knew, symbolizing his readiness to face the challenges that awaited us.
I noticed Sokka standing on the cliff edge, clutching his fur hat tightly. It was clear that he was overcome with nervousness, likely due to what had transpired during the pitch meeting. Concerned, I walked over and stood by his side. "Hey, what's up?" I asked, trying to offer some support.
Sokka looked down, his voice filled with disappointment. "I messed up, Scorpion," he confessed. "The invasion plan was supposed to be my moment of truth, and I completely flubbed it."
