Scorpion POV:
As I sat, enjoying a steaming bowl of ramen, I watched intently as Aang prepared for his training session. He tied his headband around his eyes with a determined expression on his face, eager to begin.
The training kicked off with Aang swiftly sliding forward, narrowly avoiding three rocks that emerged from the ground. His instincts guided him as he deftly evaded Katara's waterbending attack, redirecting it back towards her.
Next, Aang summoned an earth rock from beneath him and propelled it towards Toph. With her usual skill, she caught it effortlessly, complimenting him with her playful nickname, "Good job, Twinkle-Toes. Visualize, then attack."
Toph expertly sent the rock back, but Aang skilfully maneuverer out of its path, narrowly dodging it. However, to his dismay, the rock accidentally struck Katara instead.
Getting back on her feet, Katara's expression turned serious. "Maybe you should take your own advice, Toph," she retorted, clearly not amused by the accidental blow.
Toph, never one to back down, retorted sarcastically, "What's the matter? Can't handle some dirt, Madame Fussy Britches?"
Clearly provoked, Katara retaliated by waterbending towards Toph, drenching her in water. "Oh, sorry, did I splash you, mud slug?" she taunted.
The tension escalated as Katara and Toph engaged in a heated battle. Unbeknownst to them, Aang remained unaware of the escalating conflict. Suddenly.
Sokka attempted a sneak attack by shouting, "Sneak attack!" But before he could make his move, Aang swiftly intercepted him, striking him in the face with a well-timed earthbending move.
Amidst the chaos, I couldn't help but burst into laughter. "Sokka, what are you doing? You don't announce yourself before you attack!"
My interruption caught the attention of Katara and Toph, causing them to momentarily pause their fight. Katara, still visibly annoyed, walked off to clean herself up, while Toph used her earthbending skills to shake off the mud. With a mischievous grin, Toph suggested, "Let's go and have some fun."
As Toph, Aang, Sokka, and I made our way to the nearby town, the distinct sounds of Messenger hawks filled the air. Excitement coursed through me as I led the way, eager to explore the bustling streets. Sokka's eyes lit up at the sight of the hawks, expressing his desire to buy one.
However, our enthusiasm was dampened by the realization that we had no money. Just as we began to contemplate our options, Toph's mischievous voice broke the silence. "We can get money," she declared, pointing towards a crowd gathered around a game being played nearby. Curiosity piqued, we approached to take a closer look.
It turned out to be a game where participants tried to guess the location of a hidden stone. Toph, always confident in her earthbending abilities, smirked mischievously. "This is where you seeing people are at a disadvantage," she explained. "Everyone guesses wrong because the dealer moves the rock at the last minute. But I can feel it with my earthbending."
A realization dawned upon me, and I interjected, understanding her plan. "And you plan to outsmart the scammer," I said, a smile spreading across my face as I grasped the clever scheme taking shape.
Observing Toph's blindness, the scammer singled her out, calling her attention. "You there," he called, his voice dripping with false friendliness. "Want to play a friendly game?"
Toph, playing her part to perfection, feigned innocence and replied, "How could I possibly play? I'm blind."
Unfazed, the scammer retorted, "You don't have to see to be lucky." He genuinely believed that Toph's blindness would work to his advantage.
