After the rejection of Dakota she wanted to disappear for a few days with the reason that she's afraid of her own anger. She was so furious that her thoughts kept lingering towards killing him. She had this big urge to just make him feel the pain she's feeling and that's to be blamed on her Deadwolf gift. But she knew that disappearing wasn't an option for her because she's the Upper Alpha so she started boxing, focusing her anger on the box ball and not on killing Dakota. It would take her a few weeks until she could bear to see him again.

"Upper Alpha", Brent asked as Rea was boxing again. "There's someone here to see you." Rea gave the last punch to the boxing ball and sighed. "Okay, thank you. Will you keep me up to date on the Hell-Wolves activity, they've been appearing a lot recently", Rea told her Béta and he nodded. Brent is an eighteen year old wolf who saw the opportunity of being her Béta but just because he'd hoped if she failed that he could take her role.

Rea opened the door to her office and saw Dakota sitting in his office with what seems to be his new soulmate. The rage she was feeling the moment he broke her heart came up again and she had to do her best to put a smile on her face. "What brings you here unexpectedly", she asked confused. She looked at how they were holding each other's hands. "We are here to announce that we're getting married", Dakota told her and she had to do her best to not show her true feelings about this. Rea hated her role now with a lot of passion. She took a piece of paper and a pen to write things down. "Congratulations! When will the wedding be", Rea asked with a forced smile on her face. "I would like it within a week", the woman said with a big smile on her face. The woman who's called Amelia knows that Rea was broken by this sudden event, because until this day Rea was never sure if Dakota eventually moved on. Rea passed the paper towards them and then said , "Write everyone down that you want at your wedding and I'll send the invitations."

.......

Once they have left her office she set her wolf nails into her hands trying to let loose of the rage that's been building up inside her since the day he rejected her. Blood was making her desk red and tears fell down her cheeks. As the Upper Alpha she's responsible for every marriage that takes place in Varcolac which also means Dakota's marriage. "Deep breaths", she told herself.

She heard a knock on her door and wiped away her tears before her Béta walked in with a worried look on her face. "What's wrong, did something happen", Rea asked worried because of the look on his face. "He..your..she..", her Béta tries to say but doesn't seem to get out of his words. "Follow me", he eventually says. They walked towards the pack hospital which Rea found strange but once she was in the hallway she figured out why she was brought here. They arrive in a room where Rea's sister is laying on a hospital bed being closely monitored. "I found her in the woods and she has a few scratches and she has a severe burn on her shoulder", Brent told her and Rea sighed and ran her hand through her hair. "Does the doctor already know anything", she asked him and he shook his head. Rea knew what happened to her, Ross the leader of the HellWolves has attacked her, that burn on her shoulder is actually a bite mark. She figured that Benjamin made sure that this would happen so Rea wouldn't be so focused on him but on her sister. "The pack doctor doesn't know what's going on with Avery but there's clearly something wrong with her", Brent said and then left her alone with her thoughts.

Rea didn't know for sure what the bite would do to her sister. She had the small suspicion that Avery is going to transform into a HellWolf and be used against her because what other reason would they have to bite her. She wasn't close with her sister , Avery wanted to be the best daughter and get the role of Upper Alpha so she made everything a competition between them. She could feel the pain that Avery is going through and see the nightmares she's getting haunted by. It made her feel compassion for her sister, 'which she didn't deserve', Rea thought to herself. She needed to talk to Ross even though she knew that he wouldn't tell her much but she could try and use her gift to get information.

.......

When she arrives at the place where the HellWolves were last seen she notices a camp but not Ross or his fellow HellWolves. Rea sighed annoyed and wanted to leave again when she noticed a guy leaning arrogantly against one of the trees. "They're not here", he said. "Oh, you don't say", Rea said sarcastically, not in the mood to have a conversation with him right now. "When will they be back? I need to talk to Ross, it's kind of urgent." The guy got an amused grin on his face. "He's off talking to Benjamin and I don't think he'll be in the mood to talk right after that", he said and it caught Rea's interest. The guy obviously doesn't know about her status otherwise he wouldn't spill that information. "So he finally decided to talk to Benjamin", Rea pretended to know anything. "Yep! Ross said that he has had it with taking orders from Benjamin. It's not because he made us that he is our leader, we don't take orders from anyone. Why does he need that woman anyway", he said and now it's Rea who's got a grin on her face. So it is Benjamin who needs Avery on his side. Maybe she could get Ross on her good side and convince him to help fight Benjamin. "So, why aren't you in the village with the other woman? I don't think Ross would like a woman coming along with him", he said then. "I don't think Ross would like me here at all", she said before leaving the camp and leaving him confused.

So as soon as Avery is going to wake up someone is going to come collect her. Rea has to make sure that it's not Benjamin who's coming to collect her but Ross, now she only has to convince him to help her in her battle with Benjamin.
