"I thought you were a loyal one", Voss hears a familiar voice saying. He looks behind him to see Benjamin who has Rea who's clearly unconscious. Voss growls wanting to go for the attack but Benjamin raises his claws towards her throat with a grin on his face. "Don't worry Voss, I won't kill her. Yet. She's just going to be a part of an experiment", he says with an even wider grin. "Do you always play with your food before you eat it", Voss asked angry because he can't do anything to save her. Voss fears for what he's going to do with her, especially if he's going to use her blood like he did in the past with Deadlive. The amount of danger the blood of a Moon-Deadwolf can bring is unbelievable, back in the time he used it to bring back dead people. Voss remembers that time like yesterday, all the enemies Deadlive has had were brought back and made into an army. He wonders what Benjamin is going to do now, what kind of plan that he has schemed. "I'm warning you Voss, stop being by her side or else I'll have to kill you too", Benjamin says before he is suddenly gone.

....

Voss arrived in a hurry at the Wolves territory and ran towards the Alpha's office where weapons laced in wolfsbane are hidden in case of situations like these. Sully who noticed Voss being in a hurry looked confused at him. "What are you doing", he asked. "Benjamin took Rea, we need to make sure that we get her away from his little experiments", Voss explains as he's taking a few knives and hurrying outside. "You can't just storm into Dakota's territory, they'll kill you. By the time you have gotten permission he already experimented on her", Sully says and Voss sighs annoyed knowing he is right. "The best thing to do for now is to prepare for the worst."

Rea woke up with a terrible headache and still had the burning sensation in her veins. She already knew where she was by his thoughts. She didn't even bother to look at him While she looked around the room she noticed a very pale woman laying beside her, not looking that healthy. Rea then realized why Benjamin had taken her. "Ignoring me isn't going to help you get away from this", Benjamin says who's now sitting beside her, gathering his stuff to draw blood. Rea noticed his shaky hands and couldn't help but have a small grin on his face. When she felt the needle she let poison run through her blood system. "Why are you bringing her back", Rea asked then. She knew what a pain in the ass Evelyn was to him. He of course didn't answer her question and stored her blood into a fridge. She figured that bringing back Evelyn is to traumatize Deadlive , maybe even to lure her out of the hidden dimension.

"Are you aware that now you've taken Dakota's title that you have to follow the rules as well, no matter how many rules you've already broken", Rea said to him and he had to chuckle. "I am aware that you can execute me for betraying the Upper Alpha. But are you aware that I can brainwash anyone into thinking what I want", he said. She was very aware of this but what he didn't know was that she was also a manipulator, of the mind, emotions and memories. He doesn't really see her as a threat now because she doesn't have the strength like Deadlive has nor has she a soulmate. He does suspect that she has the same traits as her mother but he couldn't confirm it, yet. "If you didn't have that ability you'd be nowhere", Rea told him and he narrowed his eyes at her. "Even when I didn't manipulate people your mother couldn't even handle me, she ran away for almost her entire life and now she's hidden somewhere. And like she has done a million times before she sent one of her children to deal with the problem. Surely you must've noticed this already", Benjamin says trying to set her up against her mother. Rea has never been pleased with Deadlive and I don't think that she'll ever be pleased with her, so he doesn't even have to try to make Rea hate her mother. "Is it all worth it in the end", Rea asked him and he seemed confused about her question. "All the work you're putting in killing us, is it all worth it in the end, what's the reward?" He ignored her question and continued doing what he had planned. Benjamin never had the chance to see how Deadwolves actually work, Rea's mother was smart enough to break out before a needle could come close to her. This is the first time he can observe her species and he would do everything to not let her escape this room.

"Wouldn't it be easier if you just killed me", Rea asked him then. "No. You Deadwolves always come back from the dead , which shouldn't even be possible but somehow you do", he says preparing a fuse with some white substance. There was a silence between them as he was writing down some stuff. "Why did you kill my father", she asked then. Rea has been searching for reasons why Benjamin killed her father, she hoped it wasn't just because he was trying to prevent Benjamin from coming into this world. "I hoped it would agitate your mother but she didn't come out of her shell", he answered her question. She felt that there was more to it but he turned away his head from her and eventually left the room.

She felt the sudden presence from Deadlive in the room. "I don't want to hear anything from you", Rea warned her already annoyed by her. Deadlive looked at the needles in her body and then looked at the fuse with the white substance in it. She could feel it was Winter, a deadly plant for Deadwolves. "You need Dakota in order to defeat him, Rea. Your power will be stronger and more in control, I can't have you dying because you refuse to save the world", Deadlive says then. Rea looked at the ceiling to ignore her mother's eyes, she noticed something weird about the ventilation. Benjamin was very aware that Rea would set the packs against him when it came out that he kidnapped her, but he wouldn't do this just for some experiment. He wanted the one who started all of this: Deadlive Wolves. Rea's mother tried to read her thoughts and emotions but wasn't able to which she found strange. "Why should I save a world that doesn't even respect its savior", Rea asked then. Her mother didn't have an answer to that because she asked that question herself many times. "Maybe you should've fixed the problem yourself instead of giving birth to me. You seem so eager to be united with your soulmate and you are powerful enough, so why don't you stop being so selfish and do it yourself", she asked her mother then and Deadlive grew furious with her daughter, because she was speaking the truth. "I have done enough for this world", Deadlive answered. Rea just shook her head in disapproval. "You are proud to be the 'Moongoddess' but what have you done to change the world for the better? Benjamin is still on the loose, the men are still the same, Deadwolves are still hated, Hunters are still after us and humans keep destroying our forests", Rea said and there's nothing Deadlive could say about that. "You haven't done shit for this world, you've always had your puppets which you call your children. The only thing you've done is sit there and just make sure the world is still in balance , which makes you the same as your mother." Rea could feel herself getting more exhausted within seconds and her eyes started to close. "You better start running", Rea warned her. Right when she stops fighting against the exhaustion she hears the ventilation going on.
