I drop to my knees where I stand as the elevator doors close on me and take her away from me. I cover my face with my hands as I let my tears fall down my cheeks. I just want to go back, I want to go back to the time where Halle and I were one, where she didn't have any doubt in me or in our relationship. When I woke and she was right beside me or when we were in two different countries I knew she was mine and had no doubt about that. I could of been any where in the world and I knew in some shape or form I was coming home to her. I wish I could turn back time and just not mess up the most perfect thing I had in my life. I keep hurting her. All she had asked for was a clean slate, for us to start all over so we can be stronger. But I threw it all in her face. Her tear filled blue eyes come to mind. I knew right when the words left my mouth I had made the biggest mistake. I got her back tonight but then I pushed her ten feet back with my stupidity. I ruined my own happiness, I ruined our happiness. She backed away from me as if I was a monster threatening her. As the wind begins to pick up and rattle the glass room around me, I hear footsteps getting closer and closer to me. I pick my head up from my hands to see who approaches. Deep breaths allow me to know that someone is standing in front of me. The sudden darkness around me makes it hard to see his face, the only thing that I see is the silhouette of the person in front of me . I stand to my feet to see a doorman searching for someone. His eyes look everywhere but me. By his frantic breathing and searching eye lets me know that he is in a rush.

"Excuse me?" He ask breathlessly when he finally looks at me. "The young lady who was up here, where is she?" My eyes narrow at the mention of Halle. What could he possibly need with my girl. My hands tighten at my side, ready for anything that is about to come out of his mouth.

"She has left." I give him a short answer in case of the event he has other motives to need Halle. "Why do you need to know where she is?" I question. He sighs and I can see how tired his eyes are.
"There's been an accident." I feel my blood run cold and my heart drop into my stomach when his words finally hit me. My head begins to spin at the thought of my girl blue and bruised.
Get to her, get to her. My thoughts become jumbled in my head and my heart begins to beat against my rib cage.
"Where is she? What happened?" My voice comes out a bit harsher than necessary causing the doorman to freeze in his spot. "Please answer me!" My yell breaks the guy from his trance. I place my hands on his arms and shake him a bit to get my point across. I need to know where she is so I can get to her.
" A taxi flipped over down the block...." In my head, the image of a smashed yellow taxi appears. Without a word to the man or a response to his words I run over to the elevator. I look at the elevator for a second, debating whether or not to take it to the bottom.

"Fuck it." I run pass the elevator and towards the stair well door. I push the door open causing it to hit the wall with a bang. I run down the steps taking three at a time, jumping when necessary to get down quicker. At any moment I can fall over and hurt myself but that doesn't matter. All that matters is her and her well being.
I make it to the lobby with a heaving chest and sweat rolling down the side of my head. The front desk is empty with the books open and the computer logged in. I run out the door and into the city. As soon as I step out, an ambulance races pass me. I look down the side walk to see a group of people have gathered around down the block. They all look in the same direction. They look at the spot where the ambulance stops. I sprint down the block, running faster than I have ever done before. I push pass people, trying to get to the center when I make it to the group.

"Please excuse me, please." When I make it to the front I take in the scene in front of me. A yellow taxi cab is smashed on it's left side, each window is busted, and another vehicle is smashed up a few feet away from the cab. I tug on the yellow tape, trying to see more, trying to see if she is here. Please don't be here.

"I'm sorry sir, you're not allowed over there." An officer pushes me back from the tap, trying to keep me away from where I am needed the most. I look around the scene once again searching for any sign of my girl. My heart stops when I look in the middle of the road. There, scuffed up and ruined, in the middle of the road, is a black heel. My eyes search every inch of the ground. Please Lord, don't let her be dead. Please Lord, don't let me see her fragile body frozen. Something catches my eye between the overturned taxi and street. A small body lays on the ground, all that I can see is a tiny foot that is missing a black heel. I feel my heart stop at the sight of her. I move around to get a better look at her. There, broken and hurt, is my girl. She lays on the ground, still as could be, her body isn't moving with breath or any hint of life. Her pretty white dress is black from where her body collided with the road when she was ejected from the car. Red blood stains appear on the black and white cloth of her dress.
