"We need to get her in right away. There's bleeding from the right side of the head and lower left." Voices come in from all around me. I can hear them all talking at once, trying to figure out some sort of way to help me. Fingers poke and probe my skin, inserting needles and IVs into me.

"Halleiana, can you hear me?" Yes, yes. I want to say. My mouth is dry and my tongue feels heavy causing my words to get stuck in my mouth. I try to squeeze the hand I feel in mine or move a limb but my body feels heavy, as if I am being pressed down by bricks. They're being pressed down on me, keeping me frozen in my place.
Open your eyes Halle, open your eyes.
With the little strength that is left within in me, I lift my eye lids to take in the scene around me. Bright lights fill my vision, causing my eyes to sting and the people around me become moving shadows. I can't see their faces and only hear their voices.
"Her heart rate is lowering." Hands press down on my ribs causing a pain to shoot through my body. Stop, stop. I want to scream and push away from the hands from my body. "Maybe a broken leg and a shattered bone on her left side." I hear all my injuries and another wave of worries come through me. I want to scream. I want them to know that I am awake, that I am hurt, and that I want my mom. But I can't find my voice, it is left behind with the mangled taxi. I want Harry, I want my parents, and my brothers.

A mask comes over my head allowing oxygen to get to my lungs. Suddenly, my eyes begin to feel heavy, drooping every few seconds. Keep them open, don't go to sleep. I try to fight the power of the air going through me.
"Close your eyes Halleiana. We will help you." I don't know these people, I can't see their faces but I have to put my life in their hands. Please Lord, let me live. I give in to the sleepiness allowing my eyes to finally shut.
