Chapter One: Accurate Rumors:
For the millionth time today my phone vibrates at my side. I make no attempt to pick it up or see who it is. I know who it is, I don't have to see the name flashing across the screen. I slide my finger to the left of the screen, ending the call. For a moment I have peace while he leaves another voice mail. I burrow myself into the blanket and hide. I thought he loved me like I did him but I guess I am deluded. I mean who can love a normal girl, right? Maybe all those people were right. Another set of vibrations come from my phone and again I decline the call. I never thought I would find myself in this position. I never thought I could be so in love with a boy like I am with him. But that didn't stop him. All my love and encouragement didn't keep him. Suddenly, my bedroom door opens with a squeak. I become still beneath my blankets. The empty spot next to me shifts with added weight. Arms come around me, cuddling me in.
" Halleiana." My mom says gently. She pulls the blankets away causing our eyes to meet. Right away I burst into tears and sobs escapes my lips. My body shakes with agony. My mom pulls me to her and rocks me.
" I love him so much yet that wasn't enough. I am...I." My words get stuck in my throat
" I knew I should of kept him away from you." At that same moment my phone lights up with his name across the screen.
" Ughhh." I yell to no one in particular. " When will he stop?" I close my throbbing red eyes and give them some relief for a moment. We have faced rumors before. But they were never correct. They were just made up lies writers wrote to get a pay check. But this one is the exception. I would like to tell myself that I am delusional but then I would lying to myself. I lay back down with heavy eyes.
" Go to sleep, I will be here when you wake up." She begins to run her through my hair and I feel myself drift.
