"The fair seems less crowded this year," Selina observed as she sipped her giant-sized Peach Bellini. "Oh, my God, this is so, so, so delicious!"
Megan and Luisa glanced at each other. They had been walking the Texas State Fair for about two hours, and Selina was on her third drink already. They doubted the petite, thin girl would last much longer at the rate she was going.
"Maybe we should get you some food," Luisa said. "I've only finished one of these drinks, and I'm already a little fuzzy."
"Yeah," Megan concurred. "You need to eat something, Sel. Let's get some of the famous deep-fried Oreos."
"Eww, no," Selina grimaced. "They're, like, a million calories. And I can tell they will totally clash with my Bellini."
"Hey!"
The girls all turned toward the loud male voice that cut across the noisy fairground rumble.
Hoseok was walking towards them with a big smile.
"Wow! What are the odds that I'd run into you?" he asked as he leaned over and greeted all the women with a peck on the cheek.
"Hi, Hoseok," Luisa nodded. "How did you even spot us?"
"I don't know," he replied. "I was just walking around then I got separated from the guys. I've been looking for them for the past half-hour."
"Did you try calling them?" Megan asked.
"Oops," Hoseok chuckled. "I guess I was too busy eating and drinking. Why don't I try that now?" He pulled his phone out and dialed. "By the way, you all gotta try the cookie fries. Guaranteed to blow your mind." He turned away slightly. "Hey! Where you all at? I've been looking for you." He glanced around. "Well, I'm over here by the...by the..." He put his phone down. "Where are we?"
"Tell them to walk toward the aquarium," Megan said.
Hoseok nodded and went back to his call. "I'm over by the aquarium. Yeah. What? You can see me?" He craned his neck right then left. "Where are you?"
"Right here." Yoongi's voice startled all of them.
"Oh, yeah," Hoseok smiled and put away his phone. "Bro, you gotta try the cookie fries. Tasted great after eating the fried jell-o."
"Eww," Selina interjected again. She batted her eyes when Yoongi turned to look at her. "Yoongi! Hi, Yoongi. How are you?"
He nodded at her. "Good. Imagine running into you all."
"Yeah," Selina murmured. "Skip all that fried stuff. You should try this Bellini." She offered the glass to him. He hesitated for a few seconds before taking it from her hands and taking a sip.
"Umm. Good," he said somewhat nervously, his cheeks looking a little pinker than just a moment before. "Hey! Look who else is here."
Everyone turned to see Seokjin and a slightly taller man. Luisa squinted, trying to get a better look at him, then she moved her sunglasses to the top of her head.
"Hey," Seokjin offered as a greeting. "Wow! Didn't think I'd be running into the whole crowd." He leaned forward and pecked the girls on the cheek, hesitating only slightly when he got to Luisa. "Hi, Lu."
"Hi."
"You remember Namjoon, right?" he jerked his chin toward the man next to him.
"Oh, yes," the brown-haired young woman replied with a smile. "Kim Namjoon, long time no see. How are you?"
"I'm fine, Luisa Cruz," he said, big dimples showing on his face. "I definitely remember you. You certainly made Shakespearean Literature class more enjoyable." His eyes remained on Luisa.
