We ate cookies with cream and milk and ordered pizza for dinner. I put the dishes in the dishwasher making her sit on the counter. She had just gone to take shower and when I entered the bedroom, my breath caught in my throat. There she laid with her stomach flat against the bed. Dressed in a white night gown as she continued sketching on her notebook. I smiled and leaned on the side of the door. Silently admiring her. And etching her image into my brain.
