In the morning, I woke up from my good slumber and my sinuses were all cleared up.
I sat up from the couch and saw a plate of fruit along with some sunnyside eggs and bacon, and a cup of chamomile tea.
After eating breakfast, I washed the plate and walked outside where the others were.
"Morning guys," I said while rubbing my eyes.
"Morning, Kid. How are you feeling," Sonic asked.
"Feeling a lot better than before," I replied.
"That's good. Also Tails showed us his creation, U.T," Amy said.
I looked at U.T and it looked like a mini robot until it said something about me.
"Nice, beautiful, courageous, very young, potential of a warrior, requires training and efficiency from a hero," U. T said.
"Awww...... U.T. said some nice things about Y/n," Tails said in awed.
I smile at U.T. for saying those things until it said something that is very insulting to the rest of the crew, causing them to fight.
Somehow flashbacks came back about how I escaped from an abusive foster family back from earth and immediately I started running towards the forest.
"Y/n, wait!" Tails exclaimed.
Sonic and the others stopped fighting as they saw me running towards the forest.
"I'll go and stop her," Sonic said as he started making his way to the forest.
As he made his way to the forest, he found me by the river, sitting on a rock, crying.
"Y/n?" Sonic questioned as he walked over to me.
I buried my face on my knees in tears and Sonic placed my head on his chest.
"I'm so sorry, kid. We didn't mean to make you run away. If you feel like something is bothering you, you can tell me, okay?" Sonic asked, comforting.
I nodded my head and Sonic carried me in his arms as he started making his way out of the forest.
We got out of the forest until Sonic saw only Knuckles, Amy, Sticks, and U.T from a distance.
"Sonic, is Y/n okay?" Amy asked in concern.
"She's okay. I think what happened early must've triggered her," Sonic replied.
"Ok. But to tell you, Sonic. Tails went off to Eggman's base to get his robot back, but he needs to be rescued!" Amy exclaimed.
"Say what now?" I said, voice-breaking.
"Y/n, you're gonna stay here 'cause I don't think you're mentally ready for right now, okay?" Sonic asked.
"But I want to go with you and save Tails 'cause (sniffs) I want to be a hero just like you and the others," I said, voice-breaking.
Sonic, Knuckles, Amy, and Sticks were shocked from what I said and realized that I have a purpose of not only being part of the team, but also becoming a hero along with them.
A few minutes later, we made our way to Eggman's base and saw Tails ripping the contract that Eggman has for him.
"Looks like your teammate's contract is null and void," I said.
Tails just laughs and walks over to us.
"Fine. Lucky thing I always have a Plan B," Eggman said.
He pushes buttons on his wrist controller, summoning the mega bot. Tails and Knuckles are attacked by more Bee Bots.
