Double Doomsday

The next morning, I was sleeping on the couch still until Sonic woke me up early around 8am.

"Y/n, wake up. I wanted to take you and Amy out for brunch," Sonic suggested.

"Okay," I said as I got up from the couch.

Sonic, Amy, I went over to the village and waited in line at the Meh Burger.

"Man, I am starving! Next exit: Munchy Town. Population: us," Sonic said.

Just as Sonic walks up to the cashier, Dr. Eggman cuts right in front of him immediately.

"Hey, no cutsies! I was here first!" Eggman said.

"No way, Egghead! We've been waiting!" Sonic protested.

"Um, I believe the barrel-chested gentleman with the luxuriant mustache was first," Dave said.

I wasn't letting Eggman get in the way of our food, so I did something very shocking. 

 Because of my height, Eggman doesn't see me and I immediately kicked him where the sun didn't shine and he fell on the ground. 

 I walked over to the counter and lifted myself up to face Dave as I was ready to order.

"Do you sell any of one of those meh burgers," I asked.

Dave looked at me in shock that I'm actually a human, but also a child as well.

"Of course we sell meh burgers," Dave replied.

"Can we get 6 meh burger meals? 3 for here and 3 to go?" I asked.

"Okay, I'll get that for you in a jiffy," Dave replied.

"Thank you," I said.

"Y/n, you can go and pick out a table while we pick up the food," Amy said.

"Okay," I said as I started going around to look for an empty table.

Dave leaned in closer and told something unexpected to Sonic and Amy.

"Kids eat free on the weekends," Dave whispered.

"Wait, really?" Sonic asked.

"Yes, she's welcome to eat here anytime she wants during the weekend," Dave replied.

"Wow, thank you," Amy said.

"No problem, also here's the food for here and the food for the takeout," Dave said as he gave them the food.

As Sonic and Amy got the food, they made their way to the table where I was in and we started the food here.

"What just happened to Eggman?" Sonic asked.

"Not so sure," Amy replied.

"Well I may or may not kick him between the legs," I replied.

Sonic and Amy were shocked by my answer and Sonic started laughing while Amy looked at me in disbelief.

"You did what," Amy said in disbelief.

"(laughs) Oh, this is hilarious! Eggman got bested by a kid," Sonic said while laughing.

I was drinking my soft drink and Sonic pats my head like I did something good in his eyes. 

 After our brunch, I dropped off the meals at Tails, Sticks, and Knuckles' locations and walked back to Sonic's shack to relax.

 Sonic sat down on the couch and thought about the first day where I saved Sonic and Tails from the frozen lake.

"Sonic," Tails called out while holding his lunch.

"Hey Buddy. What's up," Sonic asked.

"Nothing much. What's going on in your mind," Tails asked.

"I was thinking about times when Y/n helped us from the frozen lake and how she told us about her escape from a foster home," Sonic replied.

Tails nodded until Sonic said the unexpected.

"I was thinking about adopting Y/n as well," Sonic said.

"Really?" Tails asked in surprise.

"Yeah, I mean. She's been part of our team since she helped us and I want her to be part of us forever," Sonic replied.

"I mean you can get the adoption papers from the library and all you have to do is to put yours and Y/n's names on the paper, then head it over to the mayor to make it official," Tails said.

"Maybe I can do that. Be right back," Sonic said as he zoomed his way to the library and came back to his shack.

"Got the papers. Now let's make this adoption official," Sonic said.

"Wait... What if I can't do well as a father," He said, doubtful.

"Sonic, you do it. I know you can. Any man can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a dad. Now make this adoption official," Tails said, courageously.

He started putting his name and my name on the adoption papers, then zoomed his way to the Mayor's office for his approval. 

 To Sonic's surprise, the mayor stamped the papers for approval and was very excited to share the big news until he saw me and Tails at Eggman's base looking at the black hole.

"Tails! Y/n! What's going on," Sonic exclaimed.

"Dave's device must've activated that black hole along with Eggman's technology," I replied.

"What type of device is it," Sonic asked.

"The reverse polarizer," Tails replied.

"If you can get close enough, you can reverse the gravitational pull and force it to close in on itself," Tails added.

"But...?" Sonic said, slowly.

"But if you're too slow, you'll be pulled into the black hole forever and all existence will be erased," Tails said.

"Too slow? Ha! (Snatches the Reverse Polarizer) You forgot who you're talking to," Sonic said.

Sonic runs up to the top of the lair and looks up to the Black Hole.

 He jumps on the debris getting sucked up by the hole and gets lured in. 

He activates the switch in the Reverse Polarizer but suddenly it slips out of his hands. 

A couple of debris hits his face while he falls. 

The device reacts to the black hole and explodes emitting a bright light, making Tails and I flinch. 

Tails recovers but suddenly sees Sonic falling.

"I got you, Sonic!" I yelled as I lent out my arms.

Sonic fell on top of me. Tails looks down at Sonic, who is seen with his eyes shut. Sonic wiggles his face and opens his eyes.

"Still think a plunger would've worked as well," Tails asked, sarcastically.

A few minutes later, I came out from the bathroom and walked over to Sonic's bedroom to get some clothes until I saw the adoption papers that had my name on it. 

 I walked back to the living room to color my coloring book and Sonic came in with a plate of chili dogs.

"Y/n, I've made some chili dogs for us to eat," Sonic said.

"Thanks Dad," I said.

Sonic stopped on his tracks and looked at me with his eyes widened.

"Y/n, did you just..." Sonic said, surprised.

I started chuckling with nervousness until Sonic pulled me into a hug.
