Y/N and Simon were inseparable, since they met in University. Even though they went on different life paths and found people to love. He never saw them again when the mushroom bomb dropped. Simon always thought that they were dead, just like everyone else. But when dimension hopping with Fionna and Cake, he saw someone familiar.
It was Y/N. Donning the ice crown, pale blue skin and long white hair. Simon was happy at first, his best friend he hadn't seen over 1,000 years was here right in front of him. But it wasn't truly Y/N. Wearing the ice crown at one point, he knew what it could do. Fionna and Cake were confused at Simon's melancholic reaction but tried cheer him up. "Simon! We found this universe's ice crown, we just need to get it back from that person." Fionna said.
"No no, we should go to another universe." Simon said, unable to take his eyes off of the Ice Y/N who was playing with their Gunthers nearby. "What do you mean go to another universe." Cake asked. "Yeah come on. This universe seems pretty safe and the ice crown is right there." Fionna added. "Let's try and talk to them first.." Simon started walking towards Y/N. "I haven't seen them in such a long time. Now this universe versions of them is all.. Iced up.." He mumbled to himself as Fionna and Cake followed him, a look of confusion and wonder on their faces.
"I think he knows that crazy person." Cake stretched up to Fionna's level and whispered in her ear. "Yeah I think so. Maybe we should leave after they like reconnect or something?" Fionna whispered back. They stood nearby as Simon approached Y/N carefully. "Hello Y/N.. Hello Gunther." He said as he sat down next to Y/N. "Who's Y/N? And how do you know little Gunther's name?" They looked at him suspiciously. "We were friends. In a different universe anyway." He said as he petted a Gunther. "Friends? You don't seem familiar. But I am ever so popular. I'm the Ice Ruler nice to meet you." They said. "Yeah.. Nice to meet you too.."
