This includes heavy themes such as death and suicide. There is a happy ending tho.

Ever since Y/N died in that fucked mission, Simon hasn't been the same. He did act the same sure, acting cold and closed off. But it's been dialed up 100%. Price put him on leave, so ignoring people became easier. He stayed home, sleeping in bed most of time. Only getting up to take care of himself and the dog. Simon interacted with people if he had to. Which was rare. Including reluctantly letting the 141 inside of the home because they were worried or answering their calls.

Simon sat on his bed and swallowed some pills, he felt bad about leaving his dog and friends behind. They all kept him somewhat sane, but he couldn't do it anymore. He laid down on the sheets that haven't been washed in weeks and fell into a deep sleep. As his body shut down, everything was black. Till it wasn't. The sun was shining, birds were chirping. It was all so familiar. Maybe it was a dream, the afterlife, or a memory.

He walked up the hill in front of him, his boots crushing the grass underneath him. Y/N was sitting down on a picnic blanket right next to riley. "Y/N?" Simon's voice was raspy like he hasn't drunken water in ages. "Yes? Did you get the picnic basket from the trunk?" Their fingers ran through the fluffy fur while admiring the ducks in the lake. "Um.." Simon looked down and he was carrying the picnic basket. "Yeah." He set it down and sat next to his now alive lover.

Everything was playing out exactly like a month ago. Before Y/N died. It felt so real. Simon looked at his hands and then checked his phone. He pinched himself and then looked at Y/N's face once again. They turned to him and smiled their sweet adorable smile. "You've been acting weird. Still thinking finding terrorist? Me too and everyone else. But right now let's enjoy our time together." Y/N started to unpack the picnic basket, placing their favorite foods including treats for Riley on the blanket.

This was a chance. A weird chance to go back in time. A chance to relive their happiest moments. If it could last forever, he could even prevent Y/N's death. While enjoying lemonade and his lover's delicious sandwiches, he vowed to protect them even more than before.
