❤︎ You were a librarian at Turtle Princess' library. Befriending Simon was easy as he visited quite often. Either on breaks or while you were working, the two would talk. Discussing the books or papers they've read along with other shared interests.

❤︎ Slowly but surely, you started to fall in love with him. It was quite unexpected on your end, because you saw him as a friend. Well not anymore.

❤︎ While you were stamping books Simon came over and handed you some books to turn in. "Thank you Simon." You said with a smile as you continued to stamp the books. "It's uh no problem at all." He tried to smile back. You placed his turned in books on a cart and turned to him, "Is there anything else I can help you with?"

❤︎ "Oh no, I'm fine. Is it okay if we could talk? Sorry if i'm interrupting your work." Simon said a bit nervously "Yeah it's okay. Turtle Princess is pretty relax, especially if we stay quiet."

❤︎ The two talked for a long time, till your shift was over. While you both walked out of the library, the conversation kept going. But suddenly he stopped in the middle of the forest. "I'm just really lost without Betty. I don't know what to do anymore." Simon said solemnly, looking up at the sky.

❤︎ "I'm sorry Simon. Is there anything I can do to help you feel better?" You asked and Simon took a moment to think. "You being here is enough, you're a good friend to me." His words were sweet but stang a bit. You liked him, but you were still a friend.

❤︎ Unsure what will happen, you took the leap. "I know you're having trouble adjusting and moving on. But I'd really like to be there for you." You spoke, "I like you a lot, like romantically." You added. Simon's eyes widen, "I didn't know you felt that way. I like you too, but I need time to adjust. Could you stay with me while I try?" He hold out his hand. "Of course." You took his hand and kept walking.
