Christmas Special - Niko Bellic x Brucie Kibbutz

(Notes: This is for a secret santa. Also it's been a while since I played gta4 so I do apologize if I get anything wrong and they don't sound like the characters in the game. I worked on what I remember, watching some cutscenes and looking on the gta4 fan wiki.)

It's been 2 months since Niko dealt with Darko (whether he killed him or let him go), he still thinks about it often. Brucie does his best to distract and cheer him up.
That's why he thinks spending so much money on gifts will help Niko feel better. Even though Niko doesn't really like that kind of thing.

Niko had never experienced American style Christmas celebrations before. He doesn't appreciate the materialism. But, he won't admit it, he does think the lights are very beautiful. And he does enjoy the good christmas special or movie, the more heartwarming the better.

Music blasted through the apartment, his favorite station on Brucie's ridiculously expensive stereo system. And a random tv show that isn't being watched on the background.
He rummages through the garage, going through storage bins and finding Brucie's Christmas decorations. He has a quite a collection of Hanukah and Christmas decor.

He comes back into the living room, carrying boxes full of decorations. Niko sets them down and flips the channel from shitty reality tv to the next. He then lands on a channel playing holiday specials and watches for a bit to understand how to decorate.

"I see." He stands up and gets to work. Setting up the plastic christmas tree, turning on its lights. Placing the ornaments.
Placing wreathes, garlands, lights everywhere around the apartment. "I think it looks pretty good." Niko glances at the tv to compare.
"I don't know what else I'm missing." He thinks long and hard. "Shit."

Brucie parked his sports car in the many of shopping districts in Algonquin. He walked down the cold streets, if the display window peaked his interest he'd go in and look around to see if anything was good enough for Niko.

Niko told him "I don't want anything.", "Don't get me anything. Letting me move in is enough."
But it wasn't enough, especially to Brucie. Niko had enough money form his exploits, and so did Brucie. He didn't care if Niko got him nothing. But he still wanted to get him things.

"Oh he'd definitely love this." He walked over to the counter. He pointed into a glass case, a nice expensive gold watch. "I'll take this fine beauty. Do you gift wrap?" And that's how his spending spree started..

Carrying the gift bag, he kept walking down the street to the next store. A very expensive men's clothing store. He walks in and browses. Brucie picks up and dangles any piece of clothing he thinks Niko will look good in over his arm. Sweaters, nice dress pants, a good winter coat, shoes. This will definitely change Niko's opinion on gifts!

Brucie walks down the street. "I don't know what else to get him. He said he doesn't want anything. The clothes will make him look like a stud and are functional.
Brucie walked around checking out the store windows, going in and buying a bunch of stuff he'd think Niko would love. He could picture it now. Niko's grumpy face turned into a smile. "Oh Brucie I love you, thank you!" The cartoony like version of Niko in Brucie's mind would say.

His arms full of bags as he walks back to his car, a giant smile on his face. The passenger seat stuffed with bags and boxes. Driving home excitedly as christmas music blasts on the car's radio.

Brucie arrived home, his arms full holding the gifts he bought. Kicking the door so Niko would open it for him.
Niko opened it. "What's with all the crap?" He took some of the bags to lessen the load.
"I went all out, as pure usual." Brucie had a smug smile on his face as he walked inside and placed it all under the tree.

"So who is it for?" Niko placed the bags he took under the tree as well.
"For you of course." Brucie turned down the stereo.
"Ugh, I told you I don't want anything. I don't like material items like this. You americans always go so out and overboard on things."

"I don't believe you. You're going to love the gifts I got you. Besides you really went all out too Niko, I'm surprised. I love it dude!" He looked around, admiring the decorations. "But you forgot one thing."

"I did? What?" Niko raised his eyebrow. He swore he got almost everything right, but he had a feeling he might have forgotten something.

"You're missing the tree topper. I swear I have one." He rummages through the box and grabs one. "This one is from my pa's side of the family. You wanna put it on together?"
"Sure, I don't see why not." Niko and Brucie carefully hold the star together and place it on the tree. Brucie looks at him and smiles. "Merry Christmas Niko."
Niko smiles back and leans in for a kiss mumbling against Brucie lips
"Merry Christmas dragă."
