He watched Ace sleeping peacefully and was convinced he tried to kill him. Next time he going to keep his mouth closed. He understands those girls weren't crying over him all these years for nothing. Although it hurt, he would definitely be going back for more. His bottom at the moment felt like it was going to fall off. He shook Ace.

"Mm, what's up?" He rolled over.

"I can't climb over you to get to the bathroom, and I may need a little help."

Ace smiled, rubbing it in. "Sorry, I got a lil carried away." He hopped out of bed and pulled on his briefs. He reached out his hand to help Zhi up. Pulling him in for a hug and a kiss.

"You are enjoying this a lil too much." Zhi started walking towards the bathroom.

"I don't like seeing you in pain, but you did think you was able to take it like a pro, your first time." Ace giggled.

"Can you turn the shower on for me please..." Zhi rolled his eyes.

Ace pulled the shower curtain back and turned the shower to warm. "It's on, I can get your clothes ready for you."

"Thanks," Zhi peed for what seemed like forever. When he was done, Ace helped him get dressed.

"Kurt and me have practice today, you wanna come check it out or you think you goin to be too sore?"

"I wanna watch you, I'll manage." Zhi laid down on his side.

Ace massaged his lower back, making a sad face. "I'm sorry baby,"

"It's cool, Im hungry."

Kurt knocked. "Y'all decent?"

Zhi and Ace laughed. "Yeah, come in."

"Thank you, imma start charging you for as much I get put out my own room." He walked in with bags of food." He placed it on the table and jumped on his bed.

"Well, yeah Kurt," Zhi tried to hop up forgetting about his butt. "Ssssss," he slowly sat up, Ace assisting him.

Kurt smiled." Well I guess we know who the bottom is."

"Bro, shut up," Ace shook his head and Zhi covers his face with a pillow.

"I mean it's obvious," they all laughed.

"But imma start charging you for kicking me out my own room, for real." Kurt snuggled under his cover.

"Don't let him be kicking you out, make his ass get a room or something." Zhi took a liking to Kurt very fast. He was happy Ace met him. He ate a piece of bacon Ace have him.

"I'll keep that in mind." Kurt closed his eyes. "Let me get in a good nap before practice, coach gon kill us today."

"Um already knowing," he stuck some bacon in his mouth. "Imma jump in this shower, now that you situated."

"Okay," after he closed the door to the bathroom, Zhi called Coco's mom.

Later that day

He stood outside the room as they helped Coco into a wheelchair. She was crying and in pain, he wanted to console her but had to let her family be there with her first. She wasn't able to speak that well, saliva just running down her mouth, and she was partially paralyzed, one hand couldn't open. Her head was shaved from them having to perform surgery. Her mom asked him to be as strong as he could when he saw her, but he saw through the window she wasn't even able to. He was ecstatic when he learned she had woken up, but he wasn't expecting this. Of course, he wasn't expecting her at one hundred percent but not this.

"Okay, mom we know this is difficult, but you have to let us professionals do our job. She can hear you, but she may have lost some memory." Her mom shook her head devastated. "She waved her hand in Coco's face, but she didn't even notice.

"She's so young, she had so much promise, she's my baby,"

"Okay, are you the oldest sister?" They asked Quanna.

"Yes, I am, "she wiped her eyes.

"Maybe take mom out for a walk, please."

"Okay, Quanna took her mom's hand."

"No, I refuse to leave her!"

"Ma, come on."

Zhi took this as his cue and stepped inside the room. "I'll take her outside Quanna, you stay with Coco."

She hugged him and said thank you.

He honestly wanted some fresh air too. She put up a fight, but he finally got her outside. She placed her hands on her knees and took deep breaths. "Oh God my baby,"

He placed a hand gently on her back and rubbed it. He didn't say anything because he needed comfort as well. This was a lot to take in. This girl was possibly going to be his forever girl, just a week ago. The guilt set in, that Ace was fucking his brains out while, she was in this condition. Speaking of Ace, he already missed him and wish he would of came, but he has practice and class. Zhi did as well but took a family emergency leave, and he was already so far ahead and his classes, he could afford a break.

"Listen Zhi, you have done your part. There is nothing left for you to do. I know you feel like you owe her something, but she on a long road of recovery and she still won't be herself." She cleaned her face. "You need to go back to school and enjoy your friends...we got it from here."

Zhi could feel his eyes stinging. "This ain't fair,"

"No, it ain't. All we can do is take this as a lesson, live life to the fullest and love your loved ones like it's the last time you'll see them." She hugged him kissed his cheek. "She really liked you, and I would have loved to have you as a son in law, but life has other plans."

"Yes ma'am, I'm sorry Mrs. Iris, I truly am."

"Thank you, baby."

He called Ace.

"Baby?"
He just broke down.

"That bad huh?"

"She's not even her, I can never even tell her bout us, you know... and it's messing with me."

"You want me to come to you? Maybe coach will understand."

"No, you already dropped everything once, imma stay home tonight and go back to school tomorrow."

"Well, just stay on the phone, let me put on my clothes and I'll fall asleep on FaceTime with you."

"Okay,"

"Zhi?"

"Yes?"

"I love you."

"I love you too."
