"This shit don't get easier, but I do feel much better, I had gotten sloppy, but you whipped me back into shape."

"That's what you hired me for." Ace had him doing cooldown workouts.

"Oh, I have to fly to Manhattan in a couple weeks to be interviewed on 'First Take' and I wanted to know if you wanna go?" Kurt asked.

Ace froze. "You know Zhi works there,"

"Okay, we ain't going to see Zhi, you are going for me. Why you care anyways?" Kurt squinted his eyes at him. "Bro don't tell me, what I think you saying."

"I'm not having second thoughts; I don't miss him." Ace said immediately.

"You niggas have voodoo on each other or something, it's like y'all just can't leave each other alone for good. It ain't really my business, but do Zhi ass feel like rainbows and waterfalls? Like is it that good?" Ace laughed.

"It's nothing, it's cool. I can go with you, I will go."

"Like when you see him don't fuck him. Simple as that, do not fuck Zhi." Kurt grabbed his stuff as they headed out the gym. "If I have to chaperon, I will."

"Chill, I'm grown I can handle it."

Two weeks Later

Ace

Zhi is sitting at the round table with Steven A Shannon, Molly and Kurt. Fuck I cannot handle it. I knew better than to bring my ass here. Immediately after this, I'm getting on a plane and taking my ass home.

Zhi was very professional. He didn't look over at Ace once. He made eye contact with everyone at the table. "Kurt, it's really good to see you man and again congratulations."

"Thank you, Zhi, I see you doing your thing also."

"Thank you, thank you. So, you didn't start playing football until your sophomore year in high school?"

Kurt nodded. "Yeah, my dad had a stroke when I was in 9th, so my older brother and I got a job and helped take care of the family. My older brother came to me one day and said, you need to give football a try. Then he started practicing with and then I tried out for the team and the rest is history."

"Incredible, I just can't believe it. People have played since they were in elementary and still aren't as good as you. You can't teach talent." Said Steven A

"No, you can't." Agreed Molly.

"What do you feel about people saying you should have been a first-round pick?" Zhi asked.

"Look, I'm here. There have been people who weren't picked at all and went on to be legends in football. I see it like this, all I need is a shot, just give me a chance and I'll do the rest of the work." Kurt humbly answered.

"One things for sure, is that you're not here by mistake. We can't wait to see what you do with the season starting in just under a month." Zhi smiled.

How can anyone not love that smile? His big juicy lips, and glossy eyes. He was wearing that suit, he looked grown and sexy. He tilted his head back and laughed, a sound that brought comfort to Ace. Then he was pulled from his thoughts. "Yeah, my roommate from college is my trainer, he always was good at keeping himself healthy and in shape. He was always just there for me too. It's only right he goes everywhere I go."

"It's nothing like having a solid friend. You are lucky to have him." Zhi finally locked eyes with him and they held each other's gaze for a while.

Kurt cleared his throat looking back in forth between the two of them. "Yes, it is, and I am very lucky. Some people don't realize the importance of a solid friendship, until it's too late." Kurt looked at Zhi.
