Chan and Seokmin looked at Jihoon in shock. They never thought that Jihoon was really that soft hearted. Jihoon wiped the tears away and smiled at the happy memory towards the start of his new journey. He was really happy that he met Soonyoung and Wonwoo in the first place back then
"So... That's why when you accidentally slipped up about your siblings, you shrugged it off saying that it was your cousins who you consider as siblings. Just for them to live a happy life."
Junhui mumbled while looking at Jihoon sadly, who just chuckled and wiped another tear away
"It's funny that my siblings and I don't share the same kind of powers. But hey at least we still got some powers."
Jihoon stated while turning at behind and smiled at Chan and Seokmin. Seokmin was the first one to hug Jihoon tightly followed by Chan. They cried in their oldest brother's arms, who couldn't help but shed some tears as well
"Siblings really share a great bond."
Yeosang stated as he smiled at them. He didn't have any siblings but he remembered that Hongjoong once had an older brother and a younger sister
"Hyung? You also have an older brother and a younger sister right?"
Yeosang asked as Hongjoong froze. He turned to look at Yeosang and shook his head. Mingyu felt bittersweet after seeing the three of them as he too had a younger brother who he left behind in order to fulfill his responsibility as a swordman
"He isn't my brother. He is a traitor."
Hongjoong stated as he sniffled a bit at the painful memories of the past. Mingyu's heart clenched in pain as he remembered his past with his brother
"Hyung but he-"
"Guys... What's that?"
Hanjin asked while pointing behind Mingyu, at his shadow to be exact. His shadow showed that he had horns and a tail but when looking at Mingyu, he didn't really have that. Mingyu realized what was happening and took a deep breath. By the time everyone looked at his shadow, it became a normal one
"What was what hyung? There isn't anything there?"
Jungwon asked as Hanjin looked at it again and was surprised to see that there was nothing. Jongho knew that Hanjin never lied and Jungwon knew it too. Jongho then looked at Mingyu with serious eyes
"Hyung. What are you hiding?"
Jongho asked as Mingyu snapped out of his trance and looked at Jongho in confusion. He hid his fear deep inside, battling himself to calm down
"I am not hiding anything? Why?"
Mingyu asked as Jongho sighed and shook his head. Mingyu sighed in relief on the inside as he wasn't caught
"Soobin, tell your man to extract the memory from Hannie and share it to all of us or Seungmin, get inside his mind and make him say the truth or Wonwoo hyung, read his current and past thoughts for us please."
Jongho stated as Mingyu took a step back. He couldn't believe that his acting didn't fool Jongho but he couldn't give up yet
"Don't."
Hongjoong growled as he glared at the three people mentioned by Jongho, who just gulped and stayed silent
"Look Jongho, I trust that Hanjin doesn't lie. But Mingyu hyung gets caught easily when he lies."
Hongjoong explained as Jongho squinted his eyes. He could clearly feel that something was not in piece
"And how do you know that?"
Jongho asked as Mingyu looked down and sighed deeply
"I have tried lying to him about many things in the past. He always caught me. That's why no one cheats off me during tests because I can't lie. You can even ask Dk or Jk. They will not deny it."
Mingyu stated as Jongho looked at Seokmin and Jungkook, who nodded in agreement
"What really are you, hyung?"
Wooyoung asked as Mingyu took another step back
"And why do I only remember that you were my childhood sweetheart but nothing else about you, Min? What did you do to me?"
Wonwoo asked while stepping towards Mingyu, who took another step back. He was panicking and didn't know how to respond
"And why did I see a horn and a tail on your shadow?"
Hanjin asked as Mingyu covered his ears and kneeled down before letting out a scream. Tears streamed down his face as he finally showed his true self. Two black horns and a red tail appeared, making everyone gasp and step away from Mingyu except for Hongjoong
"Are you all happy now?"
Hongjoong asked angrily as he glared at his friends. Mingyu was Hongjoong's older brother, who left and was banished from the realm of the underworld as he decided to fulfill his 'responsibility as a swordsman' and not as the royal prince of underworld. Hongjoong hated the fact that Mingyu was set free from the cruelty of the underworld and left him behind
"He is my older brother, who decided to choose his responsibility as a swordsman but left me behind. That's why I considered that I never had a brother."
Hongjoong added as Mingyu cried even harder feeling the hatred through Hongjoong's voice
"I am a devil as you all know and he is too. He was supposed to be the next ruler to the throne of the underworld, not me."
Hongjoong added more with bitterness in his voice
"I can't believe you hyung. You have been lying all this time."
Felix stated while covering his mouth as Mingyu continued crying. Minho sighed deeply and rubbed his temples in annoyance
"And never run away from the duties which were given to you as the next royal heir."
Minho added as Mingyu pressed his ears harder, wishing for this nightmare to end soon. Wonwoo stared at his soulmate in disbelief as he misunderstood as to why Mingyu hid his true identity from him all this time
"This time we won't make the mistake of not knowing the background of why you did it. So it's better if you tell it now Gyu. Otherwise you will not only lose our friendship, you are never seeing Wonu hyung ever again."
Jungkook stated as Mingyu looked at his best friend in shock. He didn't want the truth to be revealed but what's the point of keeping it away and hidden from them now?
