Hyunjin looked up at the stars. He remembered the words Changbin had said when they were dealing with the humans. He knew that it was better to let Felix out of this misery but he didn't have a choice either. He had to protect Jeongin by staying with Felix. Royals are meant to have a relationship only with royals in vampire kindom. That was the rule which they had to follow as a royal vampire. Hyunjin was a vampire prince and Felix was a cat prince but Jeongin was just a mere phantom and phoenix mix or was he?

-Flashback-

It was raining cats and dogs which was a perfect weather for Changbin since his powers were more powerful when it rained. He would aim at the humans and miss it on purpose so that the humans won't dare to attack them. Of course Hyunjin had his full attention on the attackers, using his abilities as a vampire royal to dodge the attacks from the humans until Changbin asked something which was in his head for so long

"Why are you together with Lix when you don't love him?"

Changbin asked as that caught Hyunjin off guard and made Changbin immediately regret what he asked

"I will tell you when it's the right time-"

"Watch out!"

Changbin exclaimed but he was late. That was the second time he was late in his life. He dreadfully watched Hyunjin getting stabbed right at the place which held his life force, in his rib cage. Hyunjin was in pure shock as he passed out. The last thing he remembered was Changbin summoning a deadly lightning bolt. When he opened his eyes, he could see Jeongin and Felix sleeping while cuddling each other on a bunk bed and Changbin on the chair next to him with his head resting on Hyunjin's thighs as he was asleep too

-End of flashback-

Hyunjin's eyes watered as he sniffled. He had no choice but to hurt Felix and Jeongin both in this process of saving a life. He didn't know how to stop hurting both of them. Felix was the only one who knew the reason as to why Hyunjin was doing this and was willing to help him protect Jeongin even if he wanted to be together with Changbin. Felix was actually his best friend and not his lover. They had to act lovey dovey so that the vampires from his kingdom doesn't get too suspicious. Hyunjin wanted to end this. He wanted to be with the person he loved and not act like he was together with his best friend. Hyunjin was snapped out of his thoughts when Seungmin tapped on his shoulders

"What happened?"

Minho asked as the two of them and Jisung found out that Hyunjin was not in his room resting which made Changbin, Jeongin and Felix, the three who were in the room, panic but Jisung had managed to calm them down while Seungmin and Minho had went in search of him

"N-Nothing."

Hyunjin stated as wiped his tears and looked away as Seungmin made Hyunjin face the two of them

"Lies. Now tell us what happened or I will have to do it the hard way."

Seungmin stated as Hyunjin's eyes widened and watered again

"Yah! You are scaring him!"

Minho exclaimed and pulled Seungmin back, who just sighed and looked down

"Look I am really sorry. We are really worried about you. Please tell us what happened."

Seungmin stated as Hyunjin looked down and started sobbing. He had held it back for too long and now he needed to let it out. He felt two pairs of arms wrapping around his body and he immediately knew that it was Seungmin and Minho, which made him cry even harder

"I-I... I am tired... I don't want to h-hurt Lix and I-Innie anymore..."

Hyunjin whispered through his sobs as Seungmin as well as Minho was fully aware of the situation. Minho was really observant and quickly noticed something off between Hyunjin and Felix's relationship

"Then what's holding you back from not hurting them?"

Minho asked while playing with Hyunjin's long Raven hair as Hyunjin let out another sob

"M-My kingdom's rules for b-being a royal. That's w-what's stopping me. I-I can't be with Innie s-since he is not a royal. If I dare to do so then h-he will die..."

Hyunjin whispered and continued sobbing as Seungmin and Minho's eyes widened in shock. Anger rose within them as they hugged him even more tightly and protectively

"Don't be an idiot Hwang. Be with Jeongin. You have to fight for him. And who said that he isn't a royal? He is the famous trickster phoenix prince of Laventer disguised as someone else."

Seungmin stated as Hyunjin pulled away from them and stared at Seungmin in shock. He felt overwhelmed. Sadness, shock, pain, happiness, frustration and anger rushed all over his body as he didn't know how to react

"W-Why?... Why didn't you tell me before?!"

Hyunjin exclaimed as fresh tears started to flow from his eyes. Minho was surprised as well and looked at Seungmin for an explanation

"I found out about it just that time during the battle between the humans. I will explain everything later on how I found out about it. For now you need to go to our dorm otherwise that lightning user might become an angry pikachu."

Seungmin stated and grabbed Hyunjin's hand, who was confused but wiped away his tears quickly while Seungmin dragged him out of the rooftop with Minho following the two of them

"Explain right now Seungmin."

Minho stated as Seungmin tched in annoyance and pulled Hyunjin to an empty classroom with Minho following them and closing the door

"Okay. You want an explanation right now? So be it but don't blame me when things are way too out of control from our hands by the time we reach there."

Seungmin stated as Minho sighed and nodded

"Alright alright now continue."

Minho stated as Seungmin took a deep breath

"As you are aware, it was raining heavily. If you use your brain then you can answer this. What happens when a phantom gets wet?"

Seungmin asked as Minho thought carefully about it and then hit him hard while Hyunjin was still confused

"No way- when a phantom gets wet, they can't use their illusions and that's how you saw Jeongin's true self."

Minho answered as Seungmin nodded

"Bingo. Now do you understand Hyunjin? And when Jongho woke up and put Jeongin under a water resistant spell, he managed to use his illusions again and changed himself back to the form he has been showing us. "

Seungmin explained further as Hyunjin's jaw dropped in shock and quickly covered his mouth. This was one hell of a shocking news for him as well as Minho, who knew better on hiding his emotions

"So yeah. If we are done here we should get going because I hear a rumble-"

And the academy shook right at the same time, making the three of them look at each other

Well I don't think anyone of you was expecting for a SeungHyunHo chapter when I said I will be some time to Skz but the next chapter will have some drama. That's the only spoiler I can give lmao. Anyways stay safe everyone!
