-Isabella Allen-

She kissed me. Everleigh Rose kissed me in front of everyone. This definitely wasn't the Everleigh I fought with half an hour ago.

Once she pulled away, she tucked my hair behind my ear and smiled.
"I don't care if they're watching. Just kiss me."

Hearing those words felt like a fever dream. Was she okay? Was I hallucinating from the alcohol?

"Everleigh?! What the fuck?!", Ryleigh yelled across the room.

Definitely not a dream.

"There's so many men who want you and you're going for a girl? She's not even that pretty!", She continued.

"Sounds like someone's jealous.", I muttered.

I watched as she scoffed and walked away. I made eye contact with the rest of the room who looked just as shocked as I felt.

"Everleigh", Jack shoved everyone to get into sight, "You're leaving me for her?"

"Hm", She crossed her arms, "Didn't you try to get with her?"

"You're just insecure and mad."

"Fuck you Jack, she doesn't want you.", I scoffed.

"She'll be running back to me once she finds out how good I treated her and made her feel." , He scowled before he turned around.

Everyone was watching but continued to mind their own business after a few moments of silence and tease. I knew that Everleigh and I weren't going to be a big deal now, but the rumors would definitely spread tomorrow. People were just too busy hooking up and partying.

I felt Everleigh's hand wrap around my wrist and started to lead me to the door,
"Where are we going?"

"Let's leave and go to yours."

"Everleigh," I laughed, "I'm Amelia's neighbor. I'm right next door."

"I know, but still."

I started to smile,
"Oh, you know?"

I smiled even more once she started to cover up her face with her hands,
"Oh my God shut up!", She laughed.

"You know I'm only kidding", I smiled, "Yeah we can go."

I waved goodbye to Amelia from across the room and left with Everleigh. It was surprisingly more chilly than I remembered which made both of us speed-walk to my house.

"Mom?", I asked once we entered, "Hold on, what's today?"

"Thursday?"

Right, my mom's working overnight.

"Why? Something wrong?", She continued.

"No, it just looks like we're home alone for the night."

"That's not a problem, unless?"

I tightened my lips,
"Not a problem."

She and I headed upstairs, flicking on each light I could on our way to my room.

"Have I ever been here?", She asked, scanning my room.

"Nope. It's your first time."

"Figured.", She walked up to my bed, "I would've already given this room a makeover."

Who's Everleigh Rose without her bratty comments?

"I'm sure you would.", I sat next her, thinking about my next words. "I have a question."
