Chapter Two

Niall's P.O.V

I gave myself a once over looking in to body length mirror deciding I looked good in my tighter black dress pants, blue collard dress shirt, skinny black tie, and black oxfords. It was currently 12:00, my interview was at 1:00. I better get going.

I got into the parking lot at 12:34 don't wanna show up too early I'll give it 10 minutes before I go in.

I thought about last night, Zayn made me dinner and apologized for being such as ass on Monday. He never did explain himself though. After dinner things got a bit heated. One kiss lead to another, and some more kisses lead to the bedroom, and somewhere in between we ended up in bed with no clothes on. Zayn kept apologizing, but truth be told I forgave him the moment his lips landed on mine. Before I get to caught up in last nights actions I pull out my phone to see the time, 12:45. I got out of my car and walked up to the tall building known as Payne enc. I pressed the button in the elevator for the 30th floor as I was instructed. The ride to the top was shorter than expected, as the elevator dinged signaling we reached our destination, I stepped out.

I walked the short distance to the front desk, it was a long counter along the left side of a wide hallway which eventually opened up to a big square. I walked up to a man that sat behind the counter alone with two beautiful young women.

"Hello, welcome to Payne enc., can I help you?" The young man offered a smile after he looked up at me.

"Yeah hi, I'm Niall Horan. And I'm here for my interview at 1:00."

"Oh yes, Mr. Horan! I'm Louis Tomlinson we spoke on the phone Monday." He said recalling our phone call.

"Yes, I remember. Nice to meet you Mr. Tomlinson. " I say smiling in return.

"Okay Mr. Horan, right this way. Mr. Payne is ready for you." Louis says getting up from behind the counter taking a right, leading me away from the open area down a hallway to an office shielded be a big wooded door. Louis taps on the door two times.

"Come in." A sharp voice calls from the other side of the door. Louis opens the door leading me in the the immaculate office.

"Mr. Horan is here for his interview." Louis says speaking to the tall man now standing in front of me. Liam nods at Louis. "Thank you, Louis." Liam says glancing at Louis. I turn to Louis seeing him give Liam and shy smile, while Liam looks away. Then Louis looks to me, offering a small sad smile in which I return trying to look like I didn't see the strange and uncomfortable exchange between the two. After the smaller brunette leaves I focus my attention on the man standing in front of me. God I can smell him, he smells amazing, and he looks even better in person. I always could admire a man with his priorities set strait, and Liam looks like he has his set pretty strait.

"Hello, Mr. Horan." His voice echoes throughout the large room as he extends a hand for me to shake. I reach my hand out to meet in the middle. He shakes my hand firmly. His hands feel nice, they're rough and calloused, I wonder how they would feel touching me? What? Niall, shut up.

"Hello, Mr. Payne. Thank you form taking to time to see me today." I say smiling shyly.

"Well, Mr. Horan seeing as my last assistant quit on me, I kinda had to." He says walking around his desk, gesturing me to sit as well, he takes a seat. I frown slightly at his words, why did his last assistant quit, and why does he sound so reluctant to be meeting with me?

" To be quite honest. This isn't really even an interview, you've already got the job." he says looking me in the eyes.

"Really? Okay, you said your last assistant quit? It that what I'll be doing? Being your assistant? " I question looking up at him slightly.
