Chapter Twenty Seven

Niall's P.O.V

Nervously walking up to the door, with Liam's hand held in my own, I bite my lip. I really didn't want to forgive Liam so quickly but he's so hard to stay mad at. Looking up as Liam squeezes my hand I give him a shy smile.

"It's gonna be okay." He whispered pulling me close. I breathe in his cologne, sighing at the familiarity. I nod my head, peeking up at him through my lashes, to let him know I was ready. Liam leans forward to ring the door bell. We wait a moment before the is opened and a blonde women is reviled.

A big smile is on her face as she says, "Liam!" Then practically throwing herself at Liam, detaching our hands.

"Ruth." Liam chuckle in a low voice, making me smile.

"I've missed you." She said arms still wrapped around her younger brother.

"Yeah, it's been a while." Liam responded slowly, looking over his shoulder and down to me.

Ruth pulled away smiling at me, "Hi." She said as she stepped in to give me a small hug.

"Hey, it's really great to meet you." I said, a blush spread across my face, as we pulled away. I took a step back, Liam's arm slides around me.

"For sure, Liam he's cute look at his little blush." She laughed making me blush ever harder, suddenly feeling overly shy.

"Leave him alone." Liam said in an overreacting tone.

"Liam it's okay." I smiled up at him. He gave me a small smile back. I place my hand on his lower back, rubbing softly, reassuring him that it was okay.

"Well come on in." Ruth said smiling at up. "Nicola's inside waiting. Nick's here to." She said stepping aside to let us pass. Liam and I walk into the open living room, and brunette and guy shorter than Liam but bigger.

"Hello." She said looking to me first. She stood up her eyes still on me, "I'm Nicola, you must be Niall." She smiled reaching her hand out to me, I take it softly.

"Yeah. It's great meeting you." I smiled shyly, she was definitely more tense than her sister. The was she was looking at me almost made it seem like she was trying to size me up. Like she was wondering if I was good enough for Liam.

"Lunch is almost ready!" Ruth chirps, from the kitchen, causing Nicola to pull her hand from mine, turning to Liam to give him a smile and a hug.

Liam and Nicola chatted away, Liam looking over to me every so often as I talked to Nicola's fiancé Nick.

"So how long have you and Liam known each other?" He asked leaning against the counter in the kitchen.

Glancing at Liam then over to Ruth, to see her eyes on me, "we've know each other for about three months." I said. Nick glances at Liam then back to me.

"I don't think I've ever seen him smile so much. Every time he looks over here he's got some goofy grin on his face." Nick chuckled making me giggle, then looking at Liam only to see him looking over with a lopsided smile playing on his lips.

"He does, I never even noticed that." I looked down for a second. "So what about you? How did you and Nicola come to be?" I questioned, interest evident in my voice.
