"Emma. It's your birthday today." I smiled walking into my baby's room. She was stood up grasping onto the railing of the crib.
"Dada." I squealed as I came into the room. I picked her up, setting her on my hip.
"Now I know we took a bath yesterday but it's your birthday so we're going to take a quick bath and get you all cleaned up." I explained as I looked into her blue eyes.
"No." She laughed clapping her hands together. She's been mimicking Liam and I with everything we do, to the best of her abilities. And no was a new one. She learned that one a couple days ago.
"Yes." I smile, kissing her forehead heading to the bathroom to give her her bath.
"Hello, love." Liam said in a rush, kissing my forehead as I was drying Emma off.
"Hey. How was work?" I asked as he began to undress, putting his dirty clothes in the bin in the closet.
"It was fine." He smiled. I looked over to him to see a weary look on his face.
"What's wrong?" I ask, as I pick Emma up to bring her to her room to get changed.
"Nothing. Just thinking about work. No big deal." He have me his best smile.
"Well it's Emma's birthday. Don't think about work." I sent him a smile and went on my way to Emma's room.
After pulling on her pamper, I went to her closet. "What should we wear today, Em?" I asked. "How about this one?" I ask, holding up tiny little pink dress. She shook her head making me smile. I put it away and searched for something else. The doctor said she was developing nicely and the fact that Liam and I were singing and reading to her was really helpful. She should be walking any day now and I hope Liam and I don't miss it. "This one!" I smiled pulling out a romper. When I found this I was so happy they had it in Em's size. She smiled and clapped her hands. I think she was only clapping because I was happy.. But that good enough for me. I quickly dressed her in it and gently pushed on a pair on white converse.

It was the end of May and it was actually fairly warm today so I figured this outfit would be good. "C'mon sweetheart." I said picking her up and bringing her to Liam and I's room. He had changed out of his suit and now wore a pair of black jeans with a black button up shirt. He looked amazing as always.
"Watch her for me while I take a shower." I said setting her on the bed. "You picked up the cake right?" I ask, pulling out a towel and grabbing a pair of seamless black underwear.
"Yes. I've got everything. Don't worry, take your shower." He said. I saw him smile from across the room and it calmed me a bit. I went to shower, quickly scrubbing my hair and body till I felt clean.
Once out , I dried myself off and pulled up my underwear before walking out of the foggy bathroom and over to the closet. "Oh, daddy looks good, huh Em?" Liam teased as I looked though shirt after shirt trying to find a good one to wear.
