Chapter Eighteen

Niall's P.O.V

Liam did in fact push his meeting back, so I'm left in the house alone. I haven't really gotten the chance to see all of this house, maybe I'll check it out now. Walking up the stairs to the third floor I wonder how Liam could possibly need all of this space. I find a library in the first room I go into, staring in awe I walk to the shelves browsing some books. Most of them are older educational books, but some look interesting.

The next room I walk into is a big bedroom with soft yellow walls, and a big bed with white sheets covering it. There's an attached bathroom and an empty walk in closet. A big mirror hangs on the wall across from the bed. It's a beautiful room with a nice view of the backyard, not another house in sight.

Exiting the room I enter another, it's mostly empty except for a easel, and stool. There's a balcony, walking out onto it, I take in the beautiful view. The sun beginning to set, I smile. I watch the sunrise and now I'm watching the sunset; wonder if Liam can see the sunset from where he is at work. I stay watching until the sun is mostly gone. Going back inside I walk to the closet I see shelves full of paint, canvases, and paint brushes. I wonder if this was Liam's ex wife's room. Shaking the thought from my mind, I shut the closet soon leaving the room.

Deciding that I'd had enough exploring for one day I walk back to the bedroom, contemplating on what to do. I look at the clock it's 5:30 pm. Liam's meeting was at 4:30, he said it wouldn't be any longer than a couple of hours, so he won't be home for a little while longer. Bored I decide to text him.

Hey, when you coming home?

I laid in the bed holding my phone in my hand waiting for a response. Smiling when I feel my phone vibrate.

Sorry babe, Looks like I'm gonna be working late. If you get tired don't wait up for me. And don't forget to eat. Love you x

I smiled at the 'x' he put on the end. Upset that he's got to work so late when he hasn't been getting any sleep whatsoever. He's going to sleep tonight whether he likes it or not.

Okay. I love you too Li. And your going to sleep tonight. I'll plug your nose till you pass out if I have to!!

I get up walking down stairs to the kitchen opening up the fridge; only to find it completely empty. Sighing I try the cabinets, I find cereal, no milk, guess we're eating dry cereal.

Reading the message I laugh, is he intending I send him naughty pictures? Shaking my head smiling I throw some cereal in my mouth. Wiping the crumbs from my mouth and fingers I pick my phone up again.
