Chapter Twenty Three

Niall's P.O.V

"Hey Jenna!" I smiled as I walked into the living room, seeing her sat on the couch.

"Hey, you okay?" He asked concern evident in her voice.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I sat next to her. "Me and Liam just got into a little argument, but we're okay." I nodded at her.

"About what, if you don't mind me asking." She said quickly, looking at me with hopeful eyes.

"Well he was getting ready to go out to dinner, and I was talking to him and he completely ignored me, but we talked it through, we'll be okay." I reassured her and myself.

"Oh," Jenna said looking suspicious. "Well I know you and Liam are perfect so if you say you'll be okay, you will be." She smiled at me. "How about that movie?" She suggested looking over to me.

"Yeah! What do you have?" I questioned moving over to a box of DVDs that were set by the tv stand.

"All that's in that box and Netflix." She said as she was looking down at her phone. "Are you hungry?"

"Starving I haven't eaten since this morning." I groaned making Jenna laugh.

"Doesn't Liam feed you?" She joked, I looked over my shoulder quickly laughing a bit myself. "Is Chinese okay with you?" She asked.

"Mm, that sounds so good!" I moaned at I looked over the movies in the box. "This one!" I yelled pulling out 'Jurassic World', "I haven't seen it yet and Chris Pratt is hot." I giggled.

"Your right." She nodded her head winking at me. "Put it in while I order the food."

I put the movie in and sat on the couch waiting for Jenna to return. When she did she smiles at me, "food should be here in a half an hour." I nodded at her as she pressed play on the movie.

"That's was good, and you're so right, Chris Pratt is a god." Jenna gushed as the credits began rolling.

"I told you!" I said laughing, I looked over to my phone to see if Liam had messaged me or not, nope. Looking over to the clock hung on the wall I sigh as it says 8:30 pm.

"Where was Liam going again?" Jenna asked, laying back on the couch.

"He went out to dinner with some girl ," I sighed trying to think of her name. "I think Sam... was her name?" I said proud of myself for remembering. I see Jenna's eyes widen considerably. "What?" I ask after seeing her face now a bit nervous.

"Nothing." She stated looking anywhere but me.

"Jenna, tell me." I said in a demanding tone.

"It's not my place to tell you." She said softly, looking over to me, a frown on her face.

"But I'm asking to to tell me, and it concerns me, does it not?" I stood from the couch, wanting to know what was going on.

"Um, that's Liam's ex." I hear her say. Looking off in the distance I breath slowly, sitting back down. Why is Liam with his ex? Is he cheating on me? He wouldn't, no. It is his ex. But why is he going to dinner with her? I start to feel all kinds of emotions hit me. He said she was nobody when I asked who she was.

"Why is he going to dinner with her?" I question aloud.

"I don't know? I haven't heard from her since they broke up." She looks at me with sad eyes.

"How long have they been broken up?" I feel be breath catching in my throat, suddenly feeling very insecure.

"For like 5 years? They dated all throughout college." Jenna sighed, I stared at her with hurt in my eyes.

"We're they serious?" I took my eyes off her to look out the window.

"Niall, you don't wanna know this stuff. It you and Liam now. He loves you, anyone can see that." Jenna laid a hand on my shoulder making me look at her.

"Yes, I do wanna know. It's not like Liam's going to be able to keep if from me forever." I said looking her in the eyes, my voice stern.

"Yeah, they were, well Liam was. Right after graduation Liam was going to ask her to marry him, and everyone thought they were the best couple in the world. Personally I didn't see it, she was a bitch and she acted all sweet to Liam and his family, but anyone else, nope." she eased, my whole body felt numb. Why would Liam say she was nobody when she definitely wasn't. "but anyways, like the day before he was going to propose, Liam found out she had been cheating on him." All Jenna did was shake her head. I felt as if I was going to cry, but I blinked the feeling away. We make eye contact and I could see she felt bad for me.

"Keep going." I said taking a deep breath.

"Liam tried to brake of off right away, but Sam said that she was pregnant, and Liam being Liam, he left her." I feel like I'm going to be sick, Liam had a child. And he left the mother all alone? I want a family one day, if Liam was like this with a girl he wanted to marry... "a few months later Liam met Sophia, he never really loved her he just needed something to get his mind off of Sam."

"He had a child?" I asked in a broken tone. I feel my walls building up. Can I trust no one? I can't even have a healthy relationship, I moved on from Zayn and now the one braking me is Liam.

"Nobody's really sure, she had been cheating on him with multiple guys." Jenna whispered coming over to sit beside me. When she put her arms around me that's when I broke, tears streaming down my face. It feels like someone's ripped my heart out of my chest and squeezed all the life out of it.

"How could he keep this from me? He said he loved me, you don't keep thing from the people you love." I sobbed, resting my head on Jenna's chest, all she did was rub my back soothingly. "I tell him everything." It's true, I don't think I've got one secret. Jenna shushed me, her soft hand stroking my head. "I-I need t-to talk to h-him." I hiccuped through my hears.

"No Niall, the last thing you need right now is to talk to him." Jenna pulled me into her arms tightly.

"D-do you t-think he ever r-really loved m-me." I stuttered, my shoulder shaking heavily at the though of Liam not really loving me. All this time it was a lie, he lied to me.

"Oh Niall, he does love you. He loves you so much. He may have a hard time showing it sometimes, but he does. The way he looks at you, you can see it in his eyes." Jenna held me close as I listened to her words closely, tears continued to cascade down my cheeks. "Sure you and Liam have fights here and there, but who doesn't? A couple would kill to have what you and Liam have. You two are so perfect together please believe me." She said her voice wavering a bit. "I know Liam can be as ass sometimes, believe me, I've known him for 8 years. He just has a hard time expressing himself sometimes, but he's so much more lively and nice when your with him, you of all the people I've seen him with, he didn't look at them the way he does you. He loves you." Jenna finished making me sniffle a bit. I look up at her with red eyes. I see Jenna's jaw clinch, "I know you love Liam, and Liam loves you, and you guys are perfect, but seriously what did Liam do to deserve you?" She smiled down at me, wiping my tears away.

"Thank you." I whispered, blinking a few times.

"I'll keep an eye on your phone, why don't you get some sleep?" She said grabbing my phone from one side of me. I just nodded laying back and lifting my legs to rest on Jenna's lap, closing my eyes I fall asleep almost instantly.
