Chapter Five

As I step out of the elevator I walk towards Liam's office smiling. I knock on the door twice before opening it and stepping in. I walk over to his desk seeing him with his head in a stack of papers before setting our lunch down.

"Ready for lunch Liam?" I exclaim happily.

He looks up at me giving me a smile that practically makes me melt, and nodding at me. "What's got you all happy today?"

"Oh nothing, nothing at all. I'm just... Happy, is all." I let out shrugging my shoulders. He gives me a questioning look but quickly dismisses it.

"Whatever, anyway, how are you? Haven't seen you hardly all day." He asks putting the papers in his hands down, coming around to the front of his desk and sitting on the edge looking down on me narrowing his eyes.

"I'm good, I know, you've been keeping me busy." I say looking at him with wide eyes. "And how about yourself? You look nice today." I beam giving him a bright smile.

"I'm doing better now that I've got you here. I wouldn't dare come to work without looking good, you don't- " he starts but gets cut off by the door opening a young women walking in with a frantic Louis following close behind.

"Mr. Tomlinson, the door is closed for a reason. Try knocking next time." He growls glaring at Louis.

"I'm sorry, sir. She just rushed right passed me, I tried stoping her." Louis rambled on.

He stared at Louis for a moment before waving his hand and saying, "yeah, sure you did. You can go now."

Liam looked at me for a moment waiting till Louis closed the door behind him, before looking at the women standing behind me.

"What do you want?" Liam asked his voice making be shiver, his tone was so cold and threatening.

"Nice to see you too darling," the women starts off, maybe it's his wife? Or should I say ex wife. "See you found a replacement for me already." She chuckles. So it is his wife.

"Yeah so what if I've moved on? Maybe he makes me happy?" Does he really mean that or is he just putting on an act because she's here. I know Liam flirts with me, but just because someone flirts with you doesn't mean anything. "He makes me happier than you ever made me." He finishes in a hushed voice. All I do is blush, my hands suddenly becoming very interesting to me.

She walks in front of me, "look at me." Using the whole intimidation thing totally works on me. I do as she says. "He's kinda pathetic Liam, ugly, fat, you could- "

"Shut the fuck up! You bitch, you know what you're pathetic, coming into my office building insulting one of my employees! You're ugly, fat, and a bitch why do you think I cheated on you in the first place? so don't start with me.. Fucking.. Get the fuck out of my office." He seethes. I start to tear up because of her words. I know I'm not fat and I don't think I'm ugly, but it still hurts.

I was having a good day until now. She just had to ruin it, bitch. I feel a few tear drop fall onto my hand, and hear the door slam loud making me flinch. I hate it when people slam doors dammit. I hear footsteps coming my way eventually making their way directly in front of me.

"Niall?" Liam whispers.

"What?" My voice cracks, my vision blurry. I didn't do anything to her, why was she so mean? She doesn't even know me.

"Come here, Ni." He breathes out pulling me by me upper arms holding me close. I don't even know why I'm crying, I'm such a baby. I look up only to be met with Liam staring down at me. When did we get so close?

"Don't listen to what she said. She's stupid, can't believe I was ever married to that bitch." He chuckles a bit. I look down, I know her words shouldn't have effected me, but they did. "Look at me Niall." Liam says sternly.

I look up at him and he's staring into my eyes. I look back, my eyes still a bit watery. Liam reaches up to wipe away remaining tears before saying, "you're beautiful Niall, I.. Probably shouldn't be letting this out, but I don't care anymore. The moment I saw you I was fascinated by you. You're mesmerizing blue eyes always looking at me with wide eyes, your beautiful pale skin, red cheeks always dusted with a light blush. Your bleach blond hair, brown roots showing, the fringe of your hair slightly covering your forehead depending on how you do your hair that day," he chuckles nervously. I stare at him in shock. "And your lean body, slim hips. You look so perfect with my arms around you. And your small but still there bum. Thin lips, that would look good anywhere you place them. Beautiful smile, brightens up my day whenever I see it. Whenever I see you it brightens my day. And we've know each other for what? A month? Yeah, it scares me. Scares me that I think about you like this, but you're beautiful Niall," he continues creasing my cheek looking deep into my eyes, making be forget everything. "So beautiful." And when I say he makes me forget everything I mean everything.

I pull my hands up to the back of he's head and start to pull him down as I get on the tip of my toes. Liam has one hand on my cheek and the other wrapped around the small of my back. Our lips touch slightly and Liam pulls me tighter against him and I pull at the end of his hair a bit, he let a small groan escape. The kiss grew a bit more intense. Liam opened his mouth and let his tongue slip out, I instantly let him in. This kiss feels amazing, I haven't been kissed like this in so long. I moan out his name and his arms tighten around me even more. Liam moves his hands down to the back of my thighs grabbing at them lifting me up. He walks a few short steps to set me on his desk settling in between my legs. Our lips move in sync. I let out a whine as I pull Liam closer by his shirt. Both of up running out of breath so we pull away. Liam resting his forehead against mine grabbing me by my hips pulling me closer.

"You're so beautiful Niall." He whispers out, leaning in to give me a short kiss on the lips.

"Liam.. I, .. Nobody has ever said something that kind to be before. I.. Thank you." I breath out resting my forehead against his.

"I'm being honest Niall." He reassures me putting his face into my neck laying small kisses on it making me close my eyes taking a deep breath in slowly letting it out. I run my hands back and forth through his hair encouraging his to stay put. We stay like this for a while.

I suddenly remember, Zayn. But I can't seem to be bothered by it. I can honestly say Zayn doesn't make my feel like this. He doesn't make me feel at ease, or comfortable, safe, and young, not anymore. That god damn new job. I've just kissed Liam for the first time but he already makes me feel so many different ways. I've always had a feeling there was something about Liam that I was attracted to, but I never did anything about it.

"Brake up with Zayn." Liam mumbles from the crook of my neck. I tense up in shock.

"What?"

He pulls his head back looking at me to continue, "I'm not saying you and I have to be together but Niall, he treats you like crap.. And whenever I hear you talking to Louis about him, jesus some of the things he's put you through, you deserve so much better than him. And don't think I don't hear you on the phone sometimes. All you do is argue. You can't honestly tell me your happy." I stare at him for a while. He's right though. That's what sucks. Me and Zayn aren't what we used to be. It's just hard to wrap me head around, we've been together since we were 16 years old.

"Your right. I'm not happy with him. But I can't just brake up with him. It's going to take a while." I then go to rest my head against his chest, he gives me a kiss on the top of my head.

He lifts my head up slowly beginning to lean in, "Can I still do this?" Whispering against my lips. I giggle a bit before nodding my head pressing my lips fully against his.
