Chapter Forty Six

Niall's P.O.V

I pushed myself up off the bed and moved to my pants, pulling them up. "I'm gonna go get Emma." I said, turning to Liam. "I want this place cleaned before I get back." I smirked.

"Come back and lay down." Liam said smiling up at me.

"I've already been gone for three hours. Your sisters going to begin to wonder what happened to me." I chuckle, grabbing a shirt, not even sure if this was the same one I walked in with.

"I think she'll get the idea when she sees you." Liam smirks, making me pick up his briefs off the floor, chucking it at him. He laughs, hopping out of bed and pulling them up his long tanned, slim legs. I walk to the door as Liam follows.

"I'm serious though, Liam. Clean up." I said sternly. I gave him a short kiss before going to get Emma. I arrived at Ruth's not long after I left Liam's. Emma was asleep, and Ruth looked happy to see me.

"I'm so happy you're here, Emma just fell asleep." She sighed.

"She wasn't bad, was she?" I asked feeling nervous.

"No, a bit fussy. But that fine. I'm sure she was just missing you and Liam." She smiled.

"I'm sorry, I can take her now though. Liam and I just had to work some stuff out." I say, nodding.

Ruth smirks looking at me. "Oh, I can tell you worked it out." She giggled making me turn a deep shade of red. "I'm kidding, babe. Emma's up in my room. I'll go get her." She says patting my back. Ruth brought Emma back in her car seat. "Do you want some tea? I was just making some." She said. I looked at Emma's sleeping figure.

"Sure, why not? Liam's got some cleaning to do before I get back anyways." I nodded, taking her offer.

"So what's going on with you and Liam anyway. Not that it's any of my business, but he is my brother and I want to make sure he's not being too stupid." Ruth rolled her eyes, coming back with two cups of tea.

"He's got this new assistant that I'm not very fond of. I went to his office the other day and this kid was all over him, and some stuff was said, and I got hurt." I shrugged. "I told Liam I was going to leave him." I say shaking my head.

"I know my brother can be a bit dense at times, but I see the way he looks at you. He really does love you." She sighed, looking at me with plea. "I don't know what went down exactly, but please don't leave him. It's been so long since our family has seen him genuinely smile." Ruth finished, making me look at her. I gave her a slight reassuring nod.

"I love him too. I'm not going anywhere." I say reassuringly.

After leaving Ruth's I headed back to Liam's. When I arrive I find him in the kitchen, cooking. "What are you cooking?" I ask, coming into view with Emma, Cooper running up to me, rubbing his side against my leg.

"Just some roast beef and potatoes." Liam said, coming over to me, giving me a short kiss on my lips. A loud squeal came from Emma as her eyes landed on Liam. I smiled as Liam leant down to make funny faces at her, causing a loud laughter to erupt throughout the house. Cooper, stood alert looking to Liam, making sure nothing bad was happening. Liam gave Emma a kiss before coming back up to me. "I love you." He smiled before going back to the food. I let myself smile faintly before taking Emma up to her room to change her.
