Chapter Thirty

Niall's P.O.V

"Liam! Are you ready to go?" I yelled from downstairs, tying my white high top converse. Grabbing my purple, red, and blue flannel and slipping it on over the white tee shirt I'm already wearing.

"Yeah! Hold on, I'll be down in a second!" I heard his voice boom. I waited for him but the door, looking at the keys, picking up the keys to the blue Aston Martin, and put them in my back pocket. I turn around and see Liam walking my way. I see his and roll my eyes.

"Liam why do you always have to dress so nice, you make me look like a bum." I whined, crossing my arms.

"I don't know it's how I always dress, and you don't look like a bum." Liam argued in his black slacks, and white button up tee shirt.

"Liam! As hot as you look... We're going to a cookout." A sighed.

"Yeah I know. Your point is?" He narrowed his eyes at me.

"Go change?..." I said in a 'duh' kinda tone.

"Ni, come on, we're gonna be late."

"Liam. It will take you 3 minutes tops to go upstairs, change, and come back down. Now go." I said crossing my arms again, raising my brow. Liam sighed defeatedly as he turned around and headed up the stairs. I smirked as I watched his retreating figure. About two minutes later Liam came back down in a pair of dark wash skinny jeans, and a gray tee shirt. "See now was that so bad?" I questioned holding up the keys as Liam came up to me.

"Shut up." He grumbled as he took the keys from me, making me giggle.

The car ride to Jenna and Tyler's was short for the most part. As we pulled into the driveway I asked, "so who's all supposed to be here?"

"I'm not sure, but I know my sisters will be here, probably Tyler's family, and some of our friends." I nodded as Liam shut the car off and got out, quickly coming to my side and opening my door.

"Thank you kind sir." I laughed, as Liam lightly slapped my bum. I quickly grabbed his hand and said, "hands to yourself Mr. Payne."

"That's not when you were telling my the other night, Mr. Horan." Liam smirked and I blushed.

"Well we're in public now, so behave." I said not able to come up with a smart remark.

We stopped at the door, hands linked. Liam wrung the doorbell. Not a second later, the door opened and out came Jenna, giving both if us hugs.

"How are you guys?" She smiled, after pulling away from me.

"We're good, how about you and Tyler?" Liam answers.

"We're good, sad to see you go, but we're good none the less." She smiles as we walked through the house to the backyard.

"Yeah, we'll be back though." Liam said as we're met with about 15 people. Half of them I haven't met. I quickly scan the area and recognize, Jenna, Tyler, Ruth, Nicola, Sophie.. Wait, if Sophie is here, that means Sam is here.

"Is Sam here?" I ask leaning over to Jenna.

"Yeah, I figured Sophie would want to see Lim before you guys left." Jenna gave me a 'I'm sorry' look, I brushed it off, smiling softly.

I look to my left and see that Liam no longer stands there. I see him talking with a women, Tyler's mother?

"Niall!" I hear him say, waving me over. I walk over and stand beside Liam smiling. "Ni, this is kelly, Tyler's mum. Kelly this is Niall, my boyfriend." Kelly instantly came in for a hug, so I hugged her back.

"It's so nice to meet you. Is Liam taking good care of you?" She asked looking me over.

"Yes, of course." I smiled.
