Chapter 14

A/N - Hi everyone 🙂. I wanted to finish and publish this last night but I got locked out of my account and I thought I had lost access to this story and my other drafts. Anyway, I hope the extra long chapter makes up for the long wait for an update.

The day after they returned from Vienna, Vegas and Pete went to pack up Pete's belongings from his room at his father's house. Mr Saegnathem let Abhisit handle the workload at the office that day, his 'little treasure' was leaving home permanently and he wasn't going to miss seeing him off.
"I will take great care of him Dad" Vegas reassured his father in law.
"I know you will my son, at least this time he's moving just across the city and not half way around the world" Mr Saengtham forced a weak smile.
"Dad" Pete laughed softly, "I told you before, I will see you nearly every day".
Mr Saengtham nodded in agreement, "I know, but you're still the youngest, apart from Macau of course, I will never stop worrying about any of my children".
Vegas smiled softly, Mr Saengtham always included him and Macau in anything related to his family.
When they were leaving Mr Saengtham pulled both Vegas and Pete into a protective hug and said "if you ever need anything, and I mean anything, from a place to stay, to help with business or any personal matters please just ask me. I'm always here to help you".
"Thanks Dad" Vegas replied, Mr Saengtham was the father figure he always wished for, though his own father had promised to be better behaved towards him and Macau in private. Maybe now the relationship between himself and Macau and their own father would improve.
After a long goodbye in the driveway of the Saengtham family mansion, the newly married couple were finally allowed to leave.
Pete took most of his clothes, some toiletries and a few personal items that were important to him, he left a few clothes and personal items behind just in case they did spend the night at his father's house in the future.
When they arrived at the Minor family mansion Pete was surprised to see all the bodyguards and domestic staff were lined up to welcome him with Kan Theerapanyakul and Macau standing in the doorway.
"Macau, you're home early, we were going to pick you up from school" Vegas hugged his little brother close.
"The traffic was good so we arrived early, Pa came by the school to pick me up" Macau smiled slightly nervously.
"P'Pete welcome to your new home, it's going to be so much fun with you here" Macau said as he practically squeezed the life out of his brother in law.
"Thanks Macau, we will throw a party every single day, what do you reckon?" Pete winked.
"Every day might be a little much, don't you think? the booming voice of Kan interrupted the light hearted conversation. Everything went tense for a few seconds, Macau flinched in Pete's arms and Vegas stepped in front of the two most important people in his life in order to protect them both from any harm.
"I think every other day might be acceptable, Macau you still need to leave some time for study" Kan tried to lighten the mood.
Pete laughed jovially, he appreciated Kan's attempt at humour, he understood it must be difficult to adjust after behaving a certain way for so long. If Kan ever reverted back to his old ways Pete knew he could call on his Dad for help, "I can agree to that Pa, only if you join in with us when you are not busy".
"Of course I will, your family will be joining us for dinner tonight to celebrate you moving in" Kan announced somewhat cheerfully.
Vegas couldn't help but burst into laughter, "we spent so much time saying goodbye and Dad is coming over tonight".
Everyone joined in the laughter before Kan introduced Pete to the staff and ordered Nop to show Pete's bodyguards to their new accommodation.
Kan left soon after saying he had an online meeting to attend before dinner, he wished Pete and his children well before heading to his office.
"Your house is so amazing" Pete admired the sprawling mansion that lay on the outskirts of Bangkok.
