After 4 month

.
It had been four month since the four couples had found love, and their lives had never been more filled with joy and happiness. Today, they had all gathered at the Rajput Mansion, where a grand Gangaur festival celebration was underway.

Gangaur is a colourful festival which is one of the most important celebrations of the people of Rajasthan. It is observed throughout the state with great fervour and devotion by womenfolk who worship the goddess Gauri (Parvati), the consort of Shiva during the Hindu month of Chaitra. The festival commences on the first day of Chaitra, the day following Holi, and continues for 16 days. For a newly-wedded girl, it is binding to observe the full course of 18 days of the festival that succeeds her marriage. Unmarried girls fast for the full period of 16 days and eat only one meal a day.

As the sun rose over the Rajput Mansion, Araya, Trisha, Ashvi, and Neha had all woken up early, feeling excited and nervous about the Gangaur festival celebrations. They had all decided to keep a fast, abstaining from food and water throughout the day, in honour of Goddess Parvati. This act of devotion not only honored the deity but also symbolized their deep love and commitment to their husbands.

For the newlywed couples, this Gangaur held a special significance. It was their first festival together, a time to bond over shared traditions and celebrate their union with the entire family. The mansion was filled with the sound of laughter and the aroma of festive dishes being prepared.

The women began their day by preparing clay idols of Lord Shiva (Gan) and Goddess Parvati (Gaur). With meticulous care, they crafted and decorated the idols, infusing them with the cultural essence of their heritage. As they worked, their husbands joined in, helping with the decorations and sharing stories of their childhood memories of Gangaur. This collaboration not only made the tasks lighter but also strengthened their bonds.

Next came the intricate task of applying mehendi. Araya, Trisha, Ashvi, and Neha sat together, their hands and feet adorned with beautiful, elaborate designs. Their husbands eagerly searched for their initials hidden within the patterns, a playful tradition that brought smiles and laughter.

As the day progressed, preparations for the grand procession began. The Rajput Mansion was abuzz with activity. The clay idols were placed in decorated pots, which the women carried on their heads. The procession, a sight to behold, moved through the streets with vibrant music, traditional dances, and colorful costumes.

As the four girls, Araya, Trisha, Ashvi, and Neha, emerged from the dressing room, a collective gasp of admiration filled the air, and everyone's eyes turned to them, mesmerized by their breathtaking beauty. They were a vision to behold, dressed in their traditional Rajasthani attire, complete with intricate jewelry and ornate hairstyles that sparkled and shone in the light. The intricate embroidery and delicate patterns on their clothes seemed to dance in the light, and their jewelry jingled softly as they moved, adding to the enchanting atmosphere.

Soumya, their mother-in-law, looked at them with a warm smile, her eyes shining with pride and happiness, as she gazed at her four daughters-in-law, who looked like four goddesses, descended from heaven.
