Two weeks later : engagement preparations

Planning this trip had been stressful and hard because I had to keep it a secret and I'm bad at  keeping secrets and she would get angry everytime my phone rang when we were together and I wouldn't silence it or ask her to answer it , she would ask me to show her who im talking to and I would say , through gritted teeth that its private family matters and she would loose it. I felt bad everytime she cried because of me and my actions because I couldn't tell her the truth, I would comfort her but I could feel it in my bones that she was not buying any of it.

I went ring shopping with Tom and Jerry for the first and last time . Instead of  helping me find the perfect engagement ring these idiots were out on their own stupid agenda , giggling and criticizing other rings and their prize tags.  I called Sonini to help me and she called Diamond Corporate which is a jewellery store in Capetown that sells expensive diamond rings. I couldn't find the rose gold heart shaped diamond ring but I settled for a diamond ring in platinum with 1.00 carat diamond that the sales lady recommend and I asked that they engrave 'soon 2B MrsB" on the band outside.

After having to skip work meetings and flying to Capetown and back home in a day  I couldn't find a suitable place to hide it  , Mpilo isn't someone you'd trust with hiding a ring , Sonini was with Courtney and my girlfriend and Senzo was already in Seychells . She already didn't trust me and she guarded all my moves so I kept in her car because I thought it was the best place but as soon as I got out of her car she came back from Sonini's place and  took her stupid car for a drive. I called traffic cops on her so they could make her pull over and 'investigate" if her car was road worthy and search for the red velvet box and bring it home to me.

Everyone around me is acting wierd. Duduzane has people calling him almost every four hours regarding family issues , Courtney is always out running  some errands and doesn't pick up when I call her the first and second time , Mpilo is in KZN doing God knows what , Sonini and her husband are going on a vacation somewhere and my own mother calls to check up on me and my baby everyday. All of this frustrates me , all of this stresses me and God knows how hard im trying not to be stressed for my baby but its hard.

Two days ago I thought taking my car to the doctors appointment would be a great idea because it surely doesn't have a tracker but it wasn't.  As soon as I passed the garage , traffic officers pulled me over and asked me soo many questions that left me dizzy and when I couldn't answer them this female traffic cop with a butt cheek the size of a microwave told me to step out of my car and she started searching it like I was a criminal. I was running late and I felt embarrassed because people were looking at me and I wasn't in my best outfits but I soldiered on and went to the family doctor .

My parents are givers , gifters and my brothers and I grew up with that mentality so when I called Senzo looking for ideas on the best place to pull off an engagement without trending on social media or being on newspaper headlines he took it upon himself to book an entire resort in Seychells as an engagement gift to us. He likes expensive things so he booked an expensive, luxurious resort that's nestled away , with a private beach. He didn't give us the name, so we can both see it and  suprised at the same time .

I sent Mpilo to KZN with his home affairs contact so he can make ny mother in law a passport and when he comes back we will be doing Siya and Courtney's passports. I wanted it to be a small thing with just my brothers and their partners but Senzo thought it would be beautiful if our parents can witness it too , so we they  all going to be there ,im certain they are going to fly in two days earlier than us so they can bond , relax and enjoy themselves .

From the doctors office I drive to Ruimsig where im suppposed to meet Sonini and Courtney for lunch but when I arrive Sonini asks me to pick a car and follow her to the mall and I run for the Lamborghini, Courtney takes the Ferari and  Sonini  the Maserati MC20 or whatever its called. The GPS said Lanseria airport and  I knew that when she said the mall she wasn't referring to Sandton or Rosebank , she was referring to a mall in another province.

Again the people around me are acting funny because we get to Lanseria  airport and get on  plane to Capetown where we go swimwear shopping at the V&A waterfront.  Everytime I ask why we are swimwear shopping Sonini says a woman never has enough swimwear and we as a family are due for another vacation. I stop asking questions because I know that somethimg is fishy , they are trying too hard to hide it and I can feel it , I can tell. We were in Capetown 8 weeks ago , that isn't a long time ago , we aren't burnt out and fatigued , we aren't going through a rough patch ,or what are we going on holiday soon because I am pregnant? I don't even think I will wear these stupid swiming costumes because the weight gain is a little  visible and im not confident enough to bare my early pregnancy body to the public.

Mpilo is back and we are going over the engagement, I don't think its romantic , I don't know if she will like it and I don't think I can pull this off , sure I have a pilot licence and have paid thousands of rands in order to secure a helicopter just for this but is it worth it? Our parents are going to ensure that everythinv runs smoothly but still , I feel like out of all of our plans I chose the worst , but at the same time , it was one we could successfully pull off as a family, it didn't require a lot of admin or even visas .
