In the crowded streets of Tempest, a flurry of activity surrounded the bustling marketplace. Humans, monsters, and various other beings, both magical and mundane, moved about with their daily tasks. But there was one problem a blonde, tan, handsome man was running at an absurd speed, weaving through the crowds. Behind him, a certain azure-haired woman, looking like she had been dragged out of a high-speed chase scene, was hot on his tail. She was so fast that her silhouette was almost a blur, and her serious expression could almost freeze the air around her.
“Veldora, stop right there! Come here, to your big sister !” Velgrynd shouted, her voice a mix of irritation and longing, though the latter wasn’t quite hidden.
But her target, Veldora, didn't even seem to hear her or at least, he wasn’t stopping for anything. With the wind whistling around him, he glanced over his shoulder while laughing.
“Sorry, big sis! I can’t! It seems like Big Bro is which is contacting with me through the soul corridor to tell me something important!” Veldora called back, dodging another group of merchants who barely even noticed the chase.
“Veldora!” Velgrynd’s voice took on a sharper tone as she pushed forward, clearly not amused. “Don’t you dare ignore me!”
The speed at which they were moving was impossible for mere mortals to comprehend. Both of them were moving at such an insane pace far beyond the speed of sound that even the laws of Tempest were starting to protest. The laws governing speed here forbade anyone from exceeding 300 km/h, and the more they broke that law, the more resistance they encountered from the very fabric of reality itself it's actually raichel doing as she placed 100 laws in tempest area boundary which each laws have more resistant than last laws something like that. But Veldora, being Veldora, was somehow skating on the very edge of these laws without breaking them yet..
Before Velgrynd could close the distance, Veldora disappeared in a burst of light, teleporting( yeah it's more of erased from the plane of existence) away in an instant. He had already outsmarted his sister, at least for now.
“Dammit, I’ll catch you next time!” Velgrynd growled, her hands balled into fists, but she knew better than to keep chasing after him when he was already gone.
Meanwhile, in a completely different corner of existence, time didn’t matter at all.
Inside a dimly lit, seemingly infinite private chamber one where time was but a concept discarded for the sake of convenience a group of figures gathered around, deep in discussion. There was Rachel demonlord , or adopted daughter of Rimuru , a small pixie-like being which is actually the Ramiris who is also Labrinth manager with a distinct mischievous gleam in her eyes; Rimuru, still in his handsome black-haired form, sipping from a cup that contained something completely unrelated to tea; a blue-haired, androgynous figure with a mix of purple and blue in their hair, and eyes that seemed to shimmer with a strange wisdom; and finally, a man with black-silver hair and piercing jet-black-blue eyes, someone whose mere presence could command attention with a subtle grace.
And, of course, there was Veldora who had just teleported into the room, panting and looking completely out of breath despite his nonchalant demeanor.
“So, Veldora, you finally show up, huh?” Rachel said, her voice tinged with amusement as she didn’t even look up from the paper she was playing with. "Were you trying to outrun a dragon or something?"
“Y-yeah…” Veldora stammered, wiping sweat from his brow. “I had to outrun my sister, Velgrynd… You know, the usual sibling rivalry stuff.”
"You know," Rimuru started with a casual glance toward Veldora, "I have to admit, you can be surprisingly reliable sometimes. But what’s this about you planning the Labyrinth? Is it really something we can count on?"
